Before everything, I have to say sorry to Ah Fa and XT because I FFK for our dim sum buffet! I hope we can meet up someday soon, okay?
Reason for me to FFK was... TAIPING.
Yup, although it was only 3 days plus, I decided to make a trip home with 4e's car. It was really a very last-minute-decision. Anywayz, going back during public holiday really isn't a good idea. Traffic jam on the way was a minor problem, the major one is that the whole town got congested so badly! It was so hard for you to get around the town and to get a table at any restaurants! Apparently it's wedding season so most restaurants were holding wedding dinner, and that made the choices so limited! And apparently everyone in Taiping decided not to cook and go out in the rain to hunt for food! Aaaarrrrhhhh... The whole Taiping was so bloody crowded!!!Yes, everywhere you go... It's like this...
Shirlexia still waiting for food to come...
And this time around, I got myself up at 4 something in the morning to follow my mum to her morning walk in lake garden. Not many of you can do that, right? So that was why I brought my camera and captured some interesting stuff in the morning... Ah well... I didn't really dare to take too many pictures, especially near the hills, I'm a bit superstitious on that...Shirlexia was wearing her mum's shoes, which was over-sized! Look at the strap!
I'm sorry, it was really too dark... But there are my mum, my sis and my mum's walking kakis.
New notice board at Lake Garden, one of them is DILARANG BERKELAKUAN SUMBANG... Haha... No, you're not in Kelantan! :p
Actually... The best part in following my mum in the morning is the breakfast and shopping session at the Taiping market! When you're there earlier in the morning, you get everything fresh and there will be lesser people. And the food over there would be awesome too! Yum~~~!!!
We bought Ban Chean Kuih at Larut Matang, before walking over to the market.
Here we are at the Taiping market, the time was about 6 in the morning...
The very colourful fruits and flowers stalls...
Breakfast session with my mum's gang, which is basically made up of old people...
Oh no~ That's Shirlexia without make-up and looking like an auntie!!!
The very yummy 'economic noodles' bought from the market.
I love these!!! But erm... I always forgot the name! :p
Roti Bakar there are the BEST lar!!!My favourite uncle of all, Uncle Boon Keng... He is so cute whenever he laugh! But he doesn't want to do that for me...
Well, needless to say, my trip back to Taiping this time around was to have good food and those herbal soup that my mom made. You see, staying in KL had made me so sick. I mean, real sick ler! Didn't you read about me having viral fever and stuff? Gosh... I need all the soup at home man! So during the few days in Taiping, I must say I was eating probably the entire day everyday except for the few hours that I spent sleeping.
Alright, Vivian's birthday is coming soon, so I've decided to bring her out for a pre-birthday meal at Panaroma, about the few famous hotels in Taiping. Their food aren't too bad lar, although not all that fantastic. But for those food, rounding up at only RM 54 is a price that you will never get in KL! Anywayz, I am praying hard we are not having our CNY gathering here next year! Guys!!! Can you hear me??? I want gathering at KK's house! You guys can also come to my house!!! But NOT PANORAMA lar!!!Vivian with Pa and Mi...
Shirlexia with Pa and Mi...
Shirlexia in her latest polka dots dress.
Mushroom omelet at Panaroma is actually Eng Keat's favourite dish... Hehehe...
Grilled fish with Balinese sauce was so-so only...
Panaroma chicken chop is not too bad...Seafood baked rice with cheese at Panaroma... No... Not good, I can do better!
And then... The only dinner meal I had at home was the night before I came back to KL. Ah Ma cooked some simple but delicious dishes... Haha, I was basically the one who decide what to cook that night, so they were all my favourite dishes! Yeah~~~!!!Sei Tai Tin Wong.. Long beans, ladies fingers, kacang botol, brinjal with sambal! YUMMY~~~!!!
Fried fish with garlic, onion and chili, spring onion was missing because nobody was selling them in the market!
Fu Yong Dan... Omelet with whole lots of stuff!
Big Dao Geh are definitely at the top of my favourite food's list!
The Niu Pang and corn soup! Really nice and nutritious!
Well, that's about it. All I can say is... It was too short a trip home. And the next trip will definitely be CNY, which is erm... About more than a month time from now... And actually... I think CNY is never really a fun time to be home... Because...
We are not allowed to watch TV!!!!
Muuuuurrrrrrr... Stupid rule set by my uncle!!!
Anywayz... Here's Bonus No. 1...I just thought it's funny... You have to go East to have Western food...
Bonus No.2:
We were at Ah Ma's house that evening. At around 5 something or 6, some people had already started walking past the house with umbrellas under the rain. There were LOTS of them!!! With approximately 10 tourist buses passing by too. We all were so damn amazed! We of course know what was happening lar, do you have any idea???See... The wild boars fans are here!!!
My mum said it looks like people at some funeral...
Look, it's so famous that everybody in Malaysia should know. I saw it on the front page of NST one day! If you haven't know about this new tourists attraction in Taiping, you are so freaking outdated!!!
IT'S THE WILD BOARS!!!
The wild boars at Jalan Anak Bukit had made headlines recently. People, or to be accurate, crazy people said they are some kinda special wild boars that would bring good luck or wealth if you go see them and touch them... Since then, people from all over the country have been coming to Taiping just for that, some even booked the entire bus!!! From what we saw the other day, except for Malays, we have all other races in Malaysia there!
Crazy people, I say~!
Mike was even suggesting we should start a business either selling food, snacks, drinks or even print some wild boars t-shirt nearby! Haha!
Shit~ Now someone is going to do that...
Okay, okay, I admit... I haven't really visit the place although it is actually just steps away from Ah Ma's house. So before returning to KL, I went there with Pa and Ducum, and here's our adventure... Enjoy~! Hahahaha...
Okay, okay...
Now you can throw bananas, vegetables, tomatoes and eggs at me...
