What a great weekend in Singapore!!!

For those who haven't yet know, I made the trip to Singapore because of a guy...
Yeah well, maybe you all already know, but please don't tell my dad, please!!!
Anywayz, I just spent an exciting, memorable, great, happy, fun and yumilicious weekend in Singapore. And that was only my second visit to our neighbour country, and that was after a bloody 10 years (minus the transit part I did last year in Singapore lar)!!!
Alright, enough of all the lame intro, let's start with my Singapore trip's diary! Yay!
*Note: Look, I might sound very 'paria' in this post because well, that was my first visit to Singapore after 10 years!!!
Day 1
Arrived at the airport very early in the morning, and of course arrived very early at the hotel. Couldn't check in until 12pm. So I had my breakfast nearby and then took a walk around Bugis area while finding the right way to the MRT station, where I was supposed to meet up with Bunny and co. later at 1pm.

First meal in Singapore, Mee Siam, ok-ok lor!
Like what I've expected, Singapore is a very much cleaner version of KL. I was already amazed by the greens and the cleanliness of the city when I was on my way to the hotel. Gosh, if you think Malaysia is green, then what is Singapore? In terms of cleanliness, Malaysia is soooo out, without a doubt. Sigh...Secondhand books selling at the market...
Few blocks down from the hotel I stayed, is the classy-looking Raffles Hotel!
Later, I got attracted to Mos Burger at Bugis Junction. It's some kinda Japanese fast food restaurant selling all kinda fancy looking burgers. I cannot help myself from trying the rice burger. So I went on and had my early lunch with a Kakiage Burger and a clam chowder. The Kakiage Burger has like some shrimp, and probably some tempura vegetables in between two pieces of rice-made kinda burger bread. Wow~ I just fell in love with it man! And the clam chowder wasn't too bad too! Why is there no Mos Burger in Malaysia? Why? Why? Why? I WANT MOS BURGER IN MALAYSIA!!!!! Aaaarrrrhhh...My yummy lunch in Singapore!
A closer look at the Kakiage Rice Burger...
After that, quickly checked into hotel, took a quick shower and aaaahhh... Almost forgot to mention, I saw Gerard Lam on TV!!! Don't you remember him? He was my favourite news presenter at NTV7! He's now with Channel Newsasia lar, no wonder lar, suddenly disappear from Malaysian TV. Oh well, Channel Newsasia must be a better choice lar! His news-reading sounds a bit different now, but I think he is not as 'sisy' as he was in NTV7. That's good news, Gerald! :pSee who I saw on TV? It's Gerard Lam!
Then went out to meet Bunny, Apple and Shanice (and some others who didn't join us for the next event) and took a cab to Zouk. Well, Shanice is only 16 you see, so we are definitely not there for any clubbing session, not especially when it is a bloody afternoon, okay? We were there for the BBOY Jam! I was soooooooooo amazed by the crowd! There were probably 200 or more people in there! Singaporeans really love breakdance, or what??? I enjoyed a lot although well... I'm not a BGIRL! And one more thing, I think being the emcee of the BBOY Jam is quite fun hey! How cool is it if I can be one one day? The amazing crowd at Zouk!
Of course, it was really great catching up with the girls whom I've known from the internet (woo forum)! The crazy threesome Bunny, Apple and Shanice (so? I still don't like Toro! And I like Han Jiang!). Of course not to forget, Aiwen and Jess, whom I've known for quite a while at Xiao Ma's forum and was really glad to have finally met them! :)Camwhoring in the weird looking washroom and wash basin at Zouk!
I didn't stay for the final result, I think I left after the top 8 competition. Well, only one thing can pull me away from that exciting event!
And that's FOOD!!!
People from Leslie's fans forum were meeting up for dinner and Jenlee wanted to give us a treat at this Swiss Hotel Merchant Court! That was when I found out I finished my phone credit! In one single day! Shit! Did I forgot that every single call and SMS counts in Singapore???
No choice, I had to try my luck hanging around Clarke Quey and see if I can catch them, while taking some nice pictures... And yup, I caught them!!!Clarke Quey around evening time...
Yeah!
Yup, we are tuning back to English!
By night, when I reached the hotel at about 10 something, my legs were already killing me! Aaaarrrhhh... Bloody high heels!!! Aiya, kononnya I was going to a club, I didn't want to simply wear my sandals mah! And in the end my legs looks like two black colour sticks! Ouch! Even when I saw the crowd along the street to my hotel, I have no energy to take any pictures. So I took one from my hotel room...Everybody was still eating at night at Bugis...
Talking about the hotel, I'm quite happy with my stay there, at Beach Hotel, loacted at Bugis. It's a convenient place to stay. It's walking distance to the MRT station, Bugis Junction and Suntec City! For S$100 per night, I thought it's going to be some very lousy hotel without nothing! But I was wrong! They have everything in the room, including a hair dryer, which is always something you cannot find in a hotel room (unfortunately I brought mine as well)! They have towels, toothbrush & toothpaste, soap, shampoo... Everything! And their TV is a big one ler, not those tiny ones you get at some hotels! Plus, their receptionist is really friendly and funny! That lady actually look a lot like Singaporean actress 莫小玲!I wonder if they are related in any way? Anywayz, Beach hotel is great! Stongly recomended for those who are looking for a nice budget hotel in Singapore! Check them out here! The hotel room that I spent a night at.
That's me having my cup of greentea I bought on the way back to the hotel...
By 11pm I was already sleeping like a pig! Kor kor kor~~~!

Day 2

Woke up too early (old lady is like that one lar), at about almost 8am. So no choice, got out of the air-con room to get some sun. Since no shopping centres are open yet, I walked across to Bugis Street Market. First, had breakfast at the hawker centre near by. It was duck rice! Ooohhh yeah! I love duck! But it was a bit disappoiting because the rice was white rice in stead of oily rice! :( Four bucks wasted there! Eh... Come on, all chicken rice and duck rice, MUST use oily rice lar! Duck Rice, with the white rice... :(
Then I strolled past the market, which is more or less like a morning market, selling all kinda stuff, with people shouting here and there, promoting and demonstrating their products... It was apparently some god's birthday that day, so you get many of the stalls selling praying stuff.
I later got 5 pieces of dresses from the market, two as gifts for Karen and I Rene! :)This building, which is next to the Bugis Street Market, looks really unique, but I don't know what is it, it's under construction...
Here we are, the Bugis Street Market!
The very happening morning market...
My mum would be interested to listen to this guy...
Peopleof all kind went for the prayers!
Rub on the statue and you will get wealth! Nah... I didn't even touch it...
About the youngest guy demonstrating the product he is selling, nothing very interesting until...
You can see his sexy butt from behind! Phew~! *Nose bleed...*
This trishaw Ah Pek was listening to some 50s or 60s Chinese songs that I like! :)
I then walked to the Singapore National Library. I almost cried over there! It looks just like the library and art gallery in Perth! Gosh, I miss Perth so so so much!!! The library looks so damn nice, man! The building is too tall I couldn't even capture the entire building with my shitty camera! See, national library also, Singapore can beat Malaysia's EASILY! Maybe that is why it is good to be kiasu, you see.The national library looks just fantastic compared to ours!
Well, I like the name of the shop!
But I realized, it is unfair to say Malaysians, or even Australian being lazy. In Malaysia all shops open at 10am, while in Perth I think maybe 8am. But in Singapore? Except for some cafes, the rest of the shops in the shopping mall actually open at 11am! I was at Kinokuniya at Bugis Junction waiting for it to open at 10am, and there were some people waiting outside, just like me! They open at 10.30am. And some other shops only open at 11am for god's sake!
Then rushed back to the hotel and took a quick shower, packed everything, checked-out, and went to Mos Burger, AGAIN! Hurray! That was lunch no.1, Scallops Rice Burger. Erm... It wasn't as good as the Kakiage one. Waited for YY to arrived and she was late... By about 15 minutes, I think... Okay, it doesn't look very good, isn't it?
We first walked over to This Fashion, the boutique that Ah Fa excitedly told me it's a MUST GO BOUTIQUE! OMG... I don't know why Ah Fa had that kinda interest with the boutique, cos YY and me spent about less than 10 minutes in there and came out empty handed! Most of their stuff very aunty lor... Ah, sorry, I didn't mean to say you have an aunty's taste, Ah Fa, sorry! Don't kill me~! I'm just kidding, don't be mad lar! :p
And since we have lots of places to go before I had to go off to the airport in the afternoon, we went off straight to Chinatown, for the famous frog porridge, and that's lunch no.2! Yum~! That was like a MUST GO PLACE IN MY LIST even before I went to Singapore! So we arrived at 长城, they sell all kinda porridge and side dishes, they even have this special Crab Meehoon Soup that I would like to try one day! Anywayz, YY and me ordered the frog porridge to share, which was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, especially with the Chinese wine in it. We also had a plate of vegetables and the Chinese style sashimi. I'm not quite sure what kinda fish is that, but it is served with some ginger, chili, some sauce and you would squeece some lime over it. Tasted really really good! Oh... Love it!At last, I got to taste the frog porridge! Yeah!!!
Fresh vegetables as side...
The Chinese-styled sashimi was oh-so-mouth-watering!
Eh, waited for so long for the porridge, of course need to take a pic with it lar!
Question: Why do I always hate taking pictures with YY?
Shirlexia wants to show of the dress she bought two days ago from Dorethy Perkins! :p
Next stop, we went to Orchard Road.
First, we went to this mall that I can't remember the name. It sells all kinda branded stuff lar, those like LV and all. But we were only there to check out the bra shop, the brand that YY now works with. Well the Japanese branded bra are really cute but well, a bit pricy lor. And then YY suddenly thought that I should go to Far East Plaza, that should be a place I would like to do my shopping at! So we walked over, in the rain! Yea, well, she was indeed, right. It's a bit like Sungai Wang, but no, not as 'la-la' as Sungai Wang. You know what? I actually think Singaporeans are pretty trendy, and I see like only 10% of 'la-la' during my 2 days stay over there!
But time was limited and we were both already very tired of all the walking, so we sat down at this little stall called Full House, which sells Hong Kong-styled snacks for afternoon tea. We both love the food. And you know what? I just figured out, going out to makan with YY is fun since she can eat a lot (although she is bloody skinny, arrrrhhh...)! Some of my friends ar, really not fun one, eat little only and would sat over there looking at me eating, sometimes ofcourse, amazed by the way I eat! :pThe Yuan Yang Ice was really good!
Carrot Cake with chicken floss wrapped with fried egg was fantastic!
Cheesy dog, with some bacon on it!
Anywayz, in the end of the day, I did bought a high-waist dress and high-waist skirt (so 'heng' over there man) before heading to the airport. I would like to thank YY for the day! She doesn't even like to go out on a weekend but she came out with me and treated me the lunch no.2! :) And hey, I put the picture with your full fringe, happy now? :p Remember my last trip at the budget terminal at Changi Airport? It was so empty that day! But this time around, I was shocked to find so many people over there! And they were all Indians! It feels like half of India are here!Indians all over... Nop, you're still at the Changi Airport, not Chennai Airport!
Then I found out Tiger Airways flied to Chennai and Banglore! Well, very smart! Good business there!
I had my dinner at Hanis again... But the Yee Meen was so-so only...The not-so-fantastic yee meen, last meal before flying home.
Reached home only at about 11 something at night. Freaking tired of all the walking and lack of sleep. Took a picture of the stuff I bought from Singapore before sleeping my ass out!
Tada... Clothes and Taiwanese magazines with my cute Xiao Ma!
I enjoyed my trip to Singapore this time around very very much! Ten years ago, I got scolded by a rude bus driver for asking a question for a second time. Also got this taxi driver talking about how fantastic their education system are (I know, they do have better education system) once he heard we are from Malaysia. All these made me think twice about going back to Singapore for years! Although... I later found not all Singaporeans are like that. I had many Singaporean friends in Perth, and from the internet, even had a Singaporean bf who are all really nice people. This time around, I didn't meet any rude people, only LOADS OF CHINESE, MAINLAND CHINESE!!! The couple in front of me, the girls sitting behind me, my left hand, my right hand, all Chinese! And some of them really are trendy, unlike those that you think they would look like! Singaporeans' cluture are much better, no rubish, no smoking, etc... Public transportation is GREAT! MRT comes as frequent as every 2 minutes! You will never ever get that in Malaysia. And from Orchard Road MRT station to the airport, it takes you only S$1.80 while we in Malaysia had to pay RM35 for the KLIA Express! WTF??? Things are cheap there if you work and earn there, and don't convert over to RM. Like they still have noodles at S$2.50, where there is no way you can find any noodles in KL selling at RM2.50!
Seriously, I now officially put Singapore into my list of 'country to go away from Malaysia'! :)

Oooopsss... Did I just forget to mention who was that special guy???
Kakakakaka...
