Raya Haji @ Genting
So it was the first long weekend out of the lot which are coming the next month. My dear came up with a plan to bring me to Genting because I've only been to Genting twice. Listen, first time was when I was 6, where there were nothing yet up there! The second time was during college time when YV and Ally were kind enough to bring me there for Tension's (who? you'll say... David's Tao accapella group ler, remember???) mini concert, and that was at least 5 or 6 years ago! I had never been to any of the hotels, any of the restaurants except for KFC, any of the casinos or theme park... Sad, right???
Anywayz, first thing we did was walking around but Genting isn't that cold lor. I was wearing this low-v top also didn't feel the chill. Took some nice pics which I cannot show you yet cos there aren't 15 comments to say you want to see him yet (vote here)! Then he lost 100 bucks in the casino... :(
And then... Comes my favourite part! LUNCH!!! Oh I mean, FOOD!!!
We had the buffet lunch at Coffee Terace at Genting Highland Resort. They have buffet for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even supper till 2.30am! Amazing, right? And the lunch buffet we had was only RM 48 per head!
Okay, now let the pictures do the rest of the work...First round: Food from the Nyonya and Western Asian corner, Stir-fried Bak Choy with sotong, salad and some fruits.
I'm sooooo ready to swollow them up!!!
Second round: Stir-fried Kai Lan and Bak Choy with sotong, Satay, Grilled vege, chicken and lamb leg, brocoli soup from the Western corner.
Third round: Some dumplings and sweet and sour chicken from the Chinese corner, small snacks from the Local corner. Dear had his favourite curry noodles while I had Prawn Mee.
My fourth round: Teochew porridge.
Our dessert, we actually had two bowls of the ice-cream. The mint one was really yummy~! :)
They have a wide variety of food, which is what I like the most. From locals, Nyonya, Chinese, Western, Japanese to Western Asia. There are a lot of stuff that we were disappointed with, like their satays, the ayam percik and more lar. But I definitely love their salad bar and the stir-fried vege where you pick what you want and the chef will fry them for you. The curry noodles' soup was a bit too 'lemak', so only good for those santan lovers. Well I guess I would give the food there around 3 out of 5 lar. It's not really fantastic yet it's good to have a try lor. Plus, I think for RM48, it's worth it lor.
And then it started to rain heavily. Dear's plan always fail to work one lar... :p So we can only stay indoor. Strolled past almost every hotels and finally we decided to go for bowling. Or to be accurate, he played the bowling while I watch. Haha, Shirlexia the old lady having back pain mah... A preview of my very 'yao yeng' dear... 's back! :p
And I just love my pair of red shoes from Cotton On! So Comel~!
Well then still raining and we don't even know where to go. Plus, Genting is SOOOOO BLOODY CROWDED I HATE SCHOOL HOLIDAY!!! Even when we've decided to go have a cup of coffee at Starbucks it was all so crowded!!!
No choice, go home lor~!
But on the way, I kept seeing this signboard saying 'Taman Cendawan' and I demanded that we should go and have a look! Yea I was soooooo excited before finding out it was closed... :'(
Woow~~~~!!! Look at those mushroomsssss!!!!!
Dear said I looked so naturally excited in this pic! What lar? This is how I look like when I see mushroom lar!!!
Shirlexia looking very satisfied with the mushrooms she bought! Oh by the way, that top was a brand new one from Forever 21! Nice and sexay~!!!
Too bad the farm was closed for don't know what reason lar! So I have to take pictures with the fake but big mushroom outside and bought some really fresh mushrooms home! Yay~! I LOVE MUSHROOMS!!!And then there was this really fierce monkey trying to protect her son...
Well, my dear and I took a really nice pic with the fake mushroom too but you know, you know what to do... :p
Anywayz, I had a great day at Genting lar although the crowd and the rain kinda ruined it a bit but still I enjoyed the trip a lot and I must say a very big thank you to my dear for his effort! I really appreciate it okay, my dear! Love ya~! Muaksss....
Bonus pic:Yes! This is what I had for dinner last night. The mushroom I bought from Genting! Looks good, right??? It is yummy I tell ya, the mushrooms were really really fresh!!! *Slurp~~~~*

Very SEDUCING Japanese-Style Chicken & Cucumber Salad
Remember on my birthday dinner this year at Pasta Zanmai? We actually ordered a few pasta dishes with the sesame sauce. For instance, I had this...It was some beef pasta with the sesame sauce lar. Well, the picture can't really show you how the sauce looks like. But I actually tasted the sesame sauce before when I Rene made this Chicken & Cucumber Salad with the Deep-Roasted Sesame Dressing and I just totally fell in love with it. And then I made it for my family in Taiping last month and they all love it! My mum actually commanded me to buy more of the dressing for her even though it is actually quite expensive, considering the little content it has. I also made it for my dear few days back and he loves it 'three'!
So... I'm here to tell you this VERY SIMPLE yet VERY SEDUCING and SUPER YUMMY salad's recipe!
First of all, you will need...The Deep-Roasted Sesame Dressing, which you can easily find at the Japanese confectionary shop. It's RM15.90 per bottle but you can get it at RM10.90 when they are having sales. Some cucumber, preferably Japanese cucumber. Cut into long pieces. Some chicken, any part but I guess the breast is better.
All you need to do is boil the chicken, pinch it into small pieces as showned on the picture above, then refrigirate it until it's cold. You can do the same with the cucumber too. Then take them out and mix well with the dressing! That's it! This is how it looks like when it's done! Trust me, this is a MUST TRY!!!
See, it's just sooooo bloody simple, but the taste is... Wow~ Mama Mia~! :)
Try this at home too~! :)
Oh, by the way... You still wanna know who my guy is? The so called 'voting' is still open in my previous post! :p

One month Anni @ California Pizza Kitchen
Well, he wanted to bring me to Chili's for dinner but plan didn't work as Chili's KLCC was so bloody full with loads of people, including some family who brought their kids out for meal! Aaaarrrrhhh... I HATE SCHOOL HOLIDAY!!!
So I recommended California Pizza Kitchen, which I've been there N years ago when I was still in college. I don't really remember how was the food like already, but hey, it's always good to try new things!
So here's what we ordered...Sedoma Tortilla Soup, with mild green chili and corn in it! Yum~! RM15.
Wild Mushroom Pizza... Decided to go vegetarian, eh? RM35.
Pan Sauteed Salmon... Comes with spaghetti and asparagus! RM32.
Well I must say, we were both very satisfied with the dinner! The soup was really special and filling. The Pizza was well, what can I say? Mushrooms! They are so yummy, okay? But I think my dear and I are most impressed with the Pan Sauteed Salmon. The huge piece of salmon was cooked so well on the outside, yet still raw inside! Aarrrhhh... So nice! And the spaghetti was well cooked, the simple asparagus was great! You see, I got mushroom, corn, salmon and asparagus, four of my favourite food for dinner! How can I be not satisfied???
Well, the month has been really really long for both of us, or at least we both think so. It's like only one month? We've been to so many places, ate so many different food, did so many things together already! We only had 100 Plus and Milo to cheer with as we celebrate our first month anniversary! :p
The next thing for us I think, is to reveal it all to you guys... BUT DO YOU GUYS ACTUALLY WANT OR EVEN CURIOUS to know who is the lucky guy??? How does he look like??? Do you guys actually care???
Okay, let's do this, I know I'm not a celebrity blogger or something, so just make the amount smaller. If I get 15 comments from you guys saying you want to know more about him, I'll tell ya and show you my guy! Deal?

鸡窝包 Supper @ Sri Petaling
And yes... I know!!! SUPPER!!!
Shirlexia is soooooo not supposed to be having supper!
Okay... I can find an excuse... Let me think...
I seriously cannot find the English name on its signboard, so I can tell you it is pronounced as 'Gai Wo Bao' (鸡窝包).
I always think Sri Petaling is a food heaven, it's just that I don't have the time and transportation to explore it. So last night after another pak-tor session (tak jadi because of the rain) at Putrajaya, my dear and me decided to have supper at Sri Petaling on our way home. And here we arrived at this shop that sells the Gai Wo Bao and all kinda Dim Sum.Gai Wo Bao restaurant??? The shop is quite obviously located by the road side.
Out of curiousity, we of course ordered the very famous Gai Wo Bao. It is this big Bao with chicken, mushroom, onion, glutonious rice and salted egg york in it. We both love it! It's a bit like a Lo Mai Gai in a bun you see. But this one comes with some gravy in it... And button mushrooms! We both are real huge mushroom lovers you see. :DHungry now??? The Gai Wo Bao is yummy~~~!!! *salava drips...*
But that was the one and only dish that gets thumb-up from us. The Dim Sum weren't that amazing lor. I think the ones I had in Taiping's Tai Or are better.Salad Prawns... The skin is too thick and it was too cold!
The other dim sums which are also so-so only.
Ohyea! I think I just found an excuse for me to have supper last night!
I scored Grade A for my Korean Beginner 1 Exam! Hurray! I'm going to continue my Korean class after this! Yeah~!
So yes, the supper was a reward okay? :p
Bonus pic: My dear knows how to use my Shawn Zai in manual mode but I don't know... Kekekeke... Here's his masterpiece taken at Putrajaya...Copyrighted okay!

Dinner @ Seoul Korean Restaurant
An nyeong ha sae yo~!
(Hi there/ How are you?)
Jo nun Shirlexia im ni da, han kuk sa ram a ni e yo. Malaysia Sa ram i e yo~!
(I'm Shirlexia, I'm not a Korean. I'm a Malaysian)
Yoon Sang Hyun sshi chu wa yo~!
(I like Yoon Sang Hyn sshi.)
Haha... Just showing off the little Korean I know! And bear with it that they are like romanized, cos I still haven't figure out how to type in Korean. I was going to say my bf will be 'eating vinegar' if I say I like Yoon Sang Hyun, but my 'limited Korean' didn't allow me to say that.
Okay, so this is finally not a blog post about my outing & eating with the bf! You wanna say 'hurray'??? Especially you, Kevin Foo Chuan Yee???
I've tried the lunch meal a few times at Seoul Korean Restaurant at Taman Desa, right in front of my boss's house. And I just love it and keep saying it is the best ever Korean food I've ever had so far. But for dinner, last night was the first time and I couldn't help it but to tell you guys that... IT WAS SOOOOOOO BLOODY AWESOME!!!!!!Gotta take picture from the top cos it was hujan-ing... :(
The menu might looks quite ordinary, but the food aren't!
The restaurant in a glance! And best thing is, you don't get the BBQ smell on your body in the end of the day!!!
It was just perfect day for BBQ! Bloody hell, it rained the entire day man!!! Aaaarrrrhhhh.... So we had Saeng Gal Bi Sal (fresh Ribeye Lean) as the BBQ beef set, Jeon Tong Bulgogi (traditional style Marinated BBQ), Sam Gae Tang and Sun Du Bu Ji Qae. My auntie-alike boss and colleague...
The Saeng Gal Bi Sal wasn't too bad, but then it could have been better if they aren't frozen. the Jeon Tong Bulgogi, which is something like what I had for lunch before this, was as good as it is. The Sun Du Bu Ji Qae is a must try to those who love tofu and spicy stuff a lot. BBQ beef with no oil oh... Only the onion! So healthy~! :)
Eat it the Korean way... With sauces, onion, green chili and garlic, wrapped in a lettuce.
The sauces, chili and garlic for the BBQ.
I know, I had so much of beef! But my colleague doesn't eat pork mah, so... Maybe next time lor, anyone???
This is the Sun Du Bu Ji Qae, which is some tofu and egg in spicy soup~Yum~!
The steamed egg was a complimentary dish and it was really tasty too!
BUT my favourite of the night goes to...SAM GAE TANG!!! Well, if you read it properly you would know what it means... It's the Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup with Glutonious Rice. Oh my goodness, how come Korean Ginseng can be so good ah??? It was so so so so good I cannot find a word to describe it now! Best of all it's RM25 for a big bowl, which I think enough for 5 people (of course if you go with less people you get to eat more lar, :p)! I LOVE SAM GAE TANG!!!!!!
Of course to me, the best part is always their variety of side dishes! I JUST LOVE THEIR SIDE DISHES!!! Especially the Korean mushroom, the big tauge and the zucchini in fried egg. I've counted, there are 13 side dishes all together, the most I've ever seen in a Korean restaurant! And it's like you will love most of them except for those that are 'too Korean' that they become weird lar! I just love it, I always finish them faster and ask for refill! Kekekeke... With Shirlexia around, restaurant can really close down faster man! :pOhhhhh yeah... My favourite part... The side dishes!!!
This zucchini in fried egg is so simple but so delicious!!!
So there you go, a very sinful yet yummilicious dinner~! Thanks to my directors in Korea! :)
I was going to get a name card and tell you guys how to get there and the business hour, but I forgot. Nevermind, you can always ask me, I'll tell ya~! You guys just really gotta try this! Better still if you ask me to bring you there and then give me a treat! :p
Thanks for reading... Gam sa ham ni da...

The Celebrity Couple Attack KL!
Kevin Foo Chuan Yee... Are you that sick of me talking about 'dear, dear, my dear...' in my blog??? What about you guys out there who are reading my blog?
I'm sorry if you are irritated, but I have no choice! I spent most of my time with him now, what can you expect wor? I love him so much that it's already killing me not to show you guys the photos we took together. So just bear with me for a while lar, okay? Alright, you have no choice, cos this is my bloody blog! :p
Being the celebrity couple as we are pretending to be, here are the pictures taken without him on Friday night as we went for our pak-tor session after my Korean class.Pavillion KL was just putting up their Christmas deco and we were so lucky to be among the first few people to take pics over there!
At around 10 at night, I was feeling like eating something (oh man, save me please! I'm so getting fatter and fatter! :S). So we went for this Ngau Kee Beef Noodles at a street behind Jalan Alor. My dear said he used to go there back then when he was still a college student.Ngau Kee Beef Noodles... Nice supper~! Yum~!
Like he said, the noodles isn't fantastic lar, but it was really okay. There were quite a lot of people having their supper over there you know! So I guess it has attracted some loyal supporters over the years! I personally think the minced meat on top of the noodles were really good, although it is obvious they were minced with machine... I went for the soup one... Oooh look at the beef belly~! Love it!
My dear had the dried wanton noodles.
The chili is quite different too, I can see lots of onion and serai in it.
And then we just had a walk around Bukit Bintang, while trying to find a place to sit down and have a drink and spend some time together.
And then we arrived at Island Bistro at Pavillion. Wow, so happening at night man! I love its design very very much! It's a bit like a Balinese design, with some oh-so-cute green colour (yay, green is the best!) cozy sofa and the unique-looking lights! Island Bistro at a glace....
I love this pic! Look at the green colour cushion! I wish I can have that cushion at home!
Too bad the kitchen was already closing when we were there, and we can only order the snack! Cos I think their salads and sandwiches look really nice... In the menu! So we had the extremely fattening and oily Tumeric Fried Chicken Wings which was pretty good! Aaaarrrhhhh... Yummy food are always very fattening, oily or unhealthy! :(I had the house pour white wine and my dear had his favourite Heineken.
My dear's masterpiece... Nice or not??? Got potential???
The very the yummy but oily chicken wings...
So that was another great night out with my dear~! :)
