I recently fell in love with this cafe. Totally. Completely. Whateverly.Someone is doing catwalk in the cafe. I think. :p
Except for the vegetarian food at Sam Poh Dong三宝洞 in Ipoh I had decades ago when I was a kid, this is the next vegetarian restaurant that is really worth mentioning.
Forget about the Chinese styled Vegetarian Chap Fun which normally taste either really 'vegetarian' or really 'fake'. The V Cafe serves fusion vegetarian food. Though almost the whole menu are Western food like pasta, chicken chops, pies and burgers, there are also rice dishes and stuff like Nyonya Laksa, etc. They do use soy meat, but I can see most of their dishes don't content those fake meats, most of them are just vegetables and mushrooms. So many special deals!!! :D
I accumulated these following pictures from a number of visits. Yes, that is how much I love this cafe.Breakfast set: Mushrooms omelet with refillable tea or coffee.
The yummy Mushroom Pie. I poked the hole lar, it doesn't come with a hole okay.
Spaghetti Carbonara with Ham.
Spaghetti Cabonara with Meatballs. Obviously these are Deardo's orders lar!
I SOOOOO LOOOOVEEE THIS EGGPLANT RISOTTO!!!
Vegetable Couscous. Yummy~!
I absolutely think their pasta and risotto are yummy, be it the creamy one or the tomato paste one, or even the Aglio Olio. The creamy one especially is not too thick but not too watery as well. The eggplant risotto is one of my favourites just because the eggplant itself is so well-grilled! The Couscous is another must try. Served with three different vegetable dishes, it is yummy and makes you feel so healthy eating it! Well, basically I think all dishes I've tried so far are delicious. Not included in the pictures but is bloody good is their salad. Love the variety of the vegetables in their salad. Greens, carrots, red bean, sweet corn and you can top it up with ham, egg and many more. Try the Japanese salad which comes with the Wasabi dressing, damn nice lor I tell you! Sweet Friday gives us free Creme Brulee!
You can have a main dish from RM5 onwards. And there are so many special deals you can sometimes have some dishes from the menu for RM6 only or have a drink at RM1. Totally a very good price for the sometimes-over-priced vegetarian food.Red is definitely my latest crush. *wink~~*
Even Deardo, a guy who dislikes vegetarian food, is now a fan of this place! You guys should really check this cafe out!
