High on Keropok Lekor?

I appear to be pretty hyper today. There must be something wrong with the one piece of keropok lekor I ate or the lunch I had just now. Or... It's just all the stress and pressure which I'm trying to avoid talking about because arrrhhh... the word 'busy' is BORING!!!

GAHHHHHHH...

Anywayz, since I'm in a hyper mood, I figured it's best not to waste it and I should make full use of it to blog! Normally my blog post will turn out to be super fantastic under this type of circumstances! LOL!

I figured I did not actually blog about the company's annual dinner late last year and so here you go...
Evil queen with the poison apple, did you get that?
Jason as vampire... I don't know whether he wanted to be Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner... Either way, I think he is best to be a Chinese vampire instead while the evil queen has stolen Harry Porter's glasses to act geek!
Trying damn hard to not laugh...
Gungho gang!!!
If you haven't realise, the theme of the annual dinner was Mystical, Mythical, Magical and my whole idea was to be the evil queen with a low budget! Hence my black fishtail dress and the collar necklace are all old stuff. Only thing I spent was the cheap crown on my head... And the apple that I stupidly carried around everywhere I went... I must have looked super silly that night! :p

The Oscars has just finished and I must say I enjoyed the show! Seth MacFarlane did a great job, better than what he did in Ted that's for sure! Good voice and quite a handsome dude too! Love all the musical performances too! And didn't I get it right that Argo was going to win Best Film? Of course I'm extremely happy and proud that one of my favourite actresses Jennifer Lawrence (though I wouldn't mind if it's Jessica Chastain too, hehe) won the Best Actress Award. Check out this super cool and hilarious video of her backstage answering journalists' (sometimes stupid) questions...

I JUST LOVE HER MORE after watching the video!!!
Fashion wise, the top 3 in my personal favourite list are:
Charlize Theron in Christian Dior... Simple colour, but unique cuts and details!
Sally Field in Valentino. No need to show flesh yet so gorgeous!
Naomi Watts in Armani Prive. Some said it's a disaster but I think it's sophisticated, glam and  sexy.
Conclusion is: Charlize always get it right whenever it comes to red carpet events (and I love the hair cut!!!), Sally Field proves that age is just a number when it comes to looking-good and being fashionable and Naomi Watts can be a winner even without an award.
And sorry Anne, only this time, I cannot agree with your dress... :(
What say you guys?

I also have a lot of movie reviews which I think I should just sum them up here in conjunction with the Academy Awards. Oscar heat is still on yaw!!! = =|||
Brave (Best Animated Film winner) - Not bad but can be better in making the story even more touching, especially the ending of the movie.
Ted - Overrated. Just because a teddy bear can talk, swear 24/7 and f**k girls all the time doesn't make it any funny. Sorry Seth, you tried too hard on a poor teddy bear. Looking forward to your coming project with Charlize Theron though! :)
The Amazing Spide-Man - I am not impressed and Andrew Garfield can try playing Garfield in stead. Full Stop.
Pitch Perfect - Cliche story line, awesome songs and music arrangement and Rebel Wilson rocks!!!
The Dictator - Funny nonsense, good entertainment.
Skyfall - Not bad but this is so not the 'so-called' best bond movie! And why no focus on bond girls this time? Aren't you guys out there disappointed?
Flight - Good message from a well-done movie. But gosh, why did they have to make such a big movie to tell you to stop drinking!
Journey to the West (西游) - There were funny moments especially when the main guy started to sing the children rhyme but other than that, this is the second lousiest Stephen Chow's movie, just behind CJ7.

Okay, time to ciao! Bai~!

Love her or hate her

Girls being girls, they hate girls who are pretty, they hate girls who are sexy, they hate girls who got too much of attentions, they hate girls who are dating their dream guys... And all that apply to not only their friends but also people they don't know personally, e.g. celebrities.
I have this little idea out of the blue actually. I thought of some female celebrities who are very famous but it's like you either love them like crazy or you hate them to the max. And I've came up with a list of them. A very short one cos I'm lazy... :p

1) Lady GagaMind you, this is one of my favourite Gaga's outfits! Gaga woolala...
Her music, her music videos, her image, her clothes, her hair deco... All so weird! I have a colleague who once told me this:"I like her songs but I really cannot accept the way she dresses!"
True, her fashion sense probably makes more headlines than her music but well don't you also agree that her songs are often very catchy too! Admit it that her music are fantastic!
I don't know about you, but I AM TRULY A FAN OF LADY GAGA!!! Like inside out! Both music and fashion, and any other thing, really! She just wanted to make herself unforgettable among the public, hence the image. And don't forget, she has the talent, not like she is just parading her body with daring clothes for fun okay!
I LOVE LADY GAGA~!!!!!

2) Megan FoxWhat will she transform into after Transformer???
She is pretty and sexy but girls may simply tag her as 'slut'. She can't really act but that doesn't really matter. Her sexy appearances in movies are enough to make her loads of money.
I'm quite neutral on this one. I do admire her long legs and body but I don't think she is pretty at all, nor does she know how to act.
Buy hey do you remember what movies did she star in? Transformer, Transformer, and Transformer?

3) Angelina JolieEeee... Menyampah aku tengok muka dia!!! Ish...*pui pui pui~~~*
Simply do a quick search on the celebrity you hate the most, I can assure you Angelina Jolie is one of the most frequent name you will find.
Guys worship her like god. Sexy lips body and tattoo plus the pretty face and all the missionary work that she is doing... Oh doesn't she sound so perfect? Oh f**k her!
I'm sorry I'm really not a fan... Not ever since she took Brad Pitt away from Jennifer Aniston and ruined their marriage. One of the forumers called her 'home wrecker' and I think there is nothing more appropriate than that to call this slut.
Yes, tell me about it. I hate her so much that you better make sure you don't let me go near her!!! I will pullherhairslashherfacespitonher....*Aaaarrrhhhh~~~*

4) Scarlet JohanssonBig boobs+big ass=Scarlet Johansson
She has this classic beauty look and that curvy body that she herself is constantly proud of. To top that up she is bloody talented. At 26, she has already won numerous awards for her outstanding acting.
But girls like Ducum hates her. She doesn't think she is attractive and she once had her favourite actor, Ryan Reynolds as her husband. So yea.
I think she is ok. I respect her the most for her stand on her curvy body rather than going for a bamboo body like most celebrities adore. People should learn to love their own bodies more!

5) Taylor SwiftAnd I always think her make-up are too much. Don't know how does her skin really looks like under those make-up.
She sings sweet (too sweet) songs, she uses her charm and beauty (or what you guys call it) to get really cute guys like Joe Jonas, Taylor Launter and Jake Gyllenhaal... Do you really like her though?
I don't. I never really think she is pretty. And her songs are too cheesy to my liking! Like eiyer... Sounds so little girl trying to act naive and all that when you know she is not-so-naive. I mean, the list of guys she has dated are solid proof okay!

6) Victoria BeckhamWith her signature tight outfit.
Ohyea, she is a hot mama married to the guy we all once hope he was ours. As an ex-Spice Girls, she definitely cannot sing. Yet she is so freaking famous and rich! She has received so many criticism for being so skinny and so on but who cares? He has a cute hubby and 4 pretty kids!
But then... I'm a fan of her since Spice Girls era! I always think she is so bloody cool and forget about those days when she had to act cute for being a member of a girl band, I LOVE HER COOL FASHION!!! And being a David Beckham's fan, I have no objection to have my idol marrying my idol!
The question is, are they really going to stay as husband and wife forever or...

Some others like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Bai Ling, Miley Cyrus and Gwyneth Paltrow are quite familiar with hatred from girls.

So what do you want to say about these hollywood stars? And who else do you think should be in the list?

胡杏儿、黄宗泽,you guys have my support!!!

Oh by the way, Myolie

Genting for Michael Hui!!!

So we went to Genting AGAIN last Saturday for the Michael Hui Stand Up Comedy II Last Warning许冠文栋笃笑2之最后警告, a show I've been wanting to watch live right in front of my eyes for years! If you get what I was trying to do...
I don't know why but I really love this pic!
Michael Hui is to me, a LEGEND. No thanks to Mamo, I basically grown up watching his movies, together with his two other brothers. But yes, Michael Hui is always my favourite! He is funny just by showing some stupid facial expressions! To me, he is the best Chinese comedian of all! I can totally ignore Stephen Chow but I can never give up watching Michael Hui! And ever since he came to Genting the first time two years ago, I regretted so much for not attending his stand up show and thanks to someone, FINALLY I MADE IT!!! Yay~! :DNo doubt, it was a full house!!!
It was quite a good show to be honest. Though not extremely fantastic, but it was funny and entertaining. Most importantly, way better than Wong Tze Wah's! I think people love his joke for just one reason, very realistic. It's like he talks a lot about what is happening with the society, what you actually see everyday, thus making it easier to relate to those jokes. Can you bloody believe it that he is actually BLOODY 68 years old???
Good show Michael! Can't wait to watch his coming movie next year!!!

Dinner@Vietnam House, First World, Genting
Before Michael's show, we tried this new restaurant at First World. Ya know I'm always a fan of Vietnamese food! Hehehehe...Quite a nice-looking restaurant lar...
Can't wait for my food to arrive!!!
So we sat down and ordered a Vietnamese Beef Noodles, a Vietnamese Dry Vermicelli and a set of Vietnamese Spring Rolls (2 rolls). We thought the beef noodles and spring rolls were not up to our expectations. The spring rolls especially to me, were too sticky. I'm suspecting it was pre-done long time ago. As for the beef noodles, Pho Hoa at The Curve definitely serves better one! From top: Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Vietnamese Beef Noodles and Vietnamese Dry Noodles.
But our favourite is the Vietnamese Dry Vermicelli. It was the very first time we both tried such thing. Although I thought their vegetables were not cut nicely, hence not very presentable, but the overall taste of the sauce went really well with the noodles. Very refreshing and crispy too in a way, with some cucumber, lettuce and peanuts! And I actually think that was a very healthy dish! I intend to look out for the recipe and try to do that at home one day! :)

And so I think I had great time over that Saturday. Just some nice activities to distress a lil' before returning to reality. You see, here's my to-do-list at work...The problem is, while a lot of them are still without a tick, the list actually goes on and on and is now almost end of a second page of my to-do-list. Sigh... Honestly, I've never felt so frustrated before about not completing my work in my previous jobs. After some months of sleepless nights trying to finish my work, I've actually gave up. I mean, I'm not paid to work from home, anywayz, so WTH??? Of course some times I just still couldn't help, but I'm doing quite well nowadays! :pAaaarrrh.... Actually just to show you a pic with my new hair-cut and new earrings! *winks~*
Let's hope that I have a little more time to complete them while having some time for myself lar!
Cheers everyone~! :)

500 Days of Summer (I prefer Yoon Sang Hyun!)

Despite working 7 days a week nowadays, I finally managed to catch a movie at the cinema yesterday~!
500 Days of Summer
Well, to be honest, this is not my kinda movie lar. I mean, it just looks like some cutie love stories... But I was so excited about it just because of Zooey Deschanel! I love her!
The movie started off great, with all the graphics, visuals of the two main characters when they were kids, and the really cool song. Of course, we were warned, this is not a love story...
I like how the movie was presented, I like the graphics and effects, etc. But its just really an average movie, which was quite disappointing lar. But I got the message at least, it is a story about love, love that is unexpected, unpredictable, and love that you can never say who's right and who's wrong. If I tell you, it's not a happy ending, are you still going to watch it? Well, I tell ya, the truth is, the two main characters didn't end up as a couple... :(
I know, how sad is that? But that is part of the message the movie is trying to tell ya!
I don't know, I guess if you want something simple, then perhaps this might be the movie you wanna catch! :)

By the way, has anyone watch Accident 意外? I'm still deciding whether to watch it or not. Tell me if it is worth a watch or not!
In love with Yoon Sang Hyun
That's not a movie title lar!
I'm not really a fan of Korean drama, seriously. While all the young kids fell crazily in love with the Flower Boys (e.g my cousin sis Jan Yi), I have no intention at all to watch the over-rated drama. Well, I guess age plays a part here. I'm not like 16 years old anymore, right?
But recently as I watch My Fair Lady拜托小姐 solely because of the main actress Yoon Eun Hye尹恩惠,who is so far my favourite Korean actress of all, I fell head over heels for the main actor Yoon Sang Hyun尹尚贤that I'm now watching his video and listening to his songs every day! I think he is a bit like Jang Hyuk 张赫(guess that's why I like him), but well, at least he is 36 and he is single~! LOL! :p
I think I'm just so over with cute young boys lar. Yoon Sang Hyun is 36, he is good-looking, he is 'man', he is tall, he has good acting skills (I cried almost everytime he cries in the drama), and OMG he can sing SO SO WELL~! I'm so totally in love with his voice now!!!Awwww~! Ya know, I have a softer side for talented guys~! *grin~*

A song that has made Yoon Sang Hyun so bloody famous in Korea, Never Ending Story.

One of the songs in the drama, 不得不爱,my personal favourite! :)
This is Romance, a duet with Yoon Eun Hye.

Best of all, to see both my favourite actor and actress act as a couple is just a total joy~! I was like literally screaming when I saw their first kissing scene!
Anywayz, check out more about Yoon Sang Hyun, girls!
To Yoon Sang Hyun Shi, you have a crazy fan here in Malaysia! I LOVE YOU~!
Hmmmmm... Now I'm thinking of learning Korean language. But then... How about my 'half-bucket-water' Japanese? And what about French? Which one???

Movie & Music Reviewzzzzz...

Sorry for not updating my blog for quite a while. Well, sometimes it just happens when all things come at the same time and I was busy with work, part-time work & others. I have so much that I wanted to blog about, but some were impossible when pictures are not with me. :( So before I start re-arranging all the photos, let's have some reviews that I've wanted to share with you guys for a long long time.

The Movies Portion...
I've not been to the cinema for about 2 weeks plus now, since the release of Transformer 2 made the cinema bloody jam. Now Harry Porter is coming pulak, aiks! How and when can I finally go for a movie again remain... Unfortunately very much unknown...;( So here are the two movies I watched on DVD.
After The Wedding
A Nominee for Best Foreign Film at the Oscar this year, this Danish movie was shown somewhere last year or earlier this year at GSC. I missed it, so I bought the DVD.
It's basically a movie about a guy who met his ex-gf on a wedding of the ex-gf daughter. And he figured the daughter may be his... And then the whole load of twist and turn made it a little dramatic yet very touching. Though half way through you might already know some of the twist before it actually happens, still I personally love this movie a lot.
Best of all, I think the entire cast did such a great job! The main guy, Mads Mikkelson and main lady Sidse Babett Knudsen were great but I think the second main guy and lady, Rolf Lassgard and Stine Fischer Christensen's acting were SUPERB!

Alright, definitely hoping to catch Public Enemies soon! Woo~Johnny Depp!!!

The Music Portion...
You know I don't always buy original CDs nowadays, but lately I've bought quite a few of them like all of a sudden... So I'm going to write about them and proudly showing you the pictures of the album that I've bought! :p
OST of Slumdog Millionaire by A.R. Rahman
I always love Indian music, they always make me feel like dancing. And that is why I went on to buy this album, especially after it won two major music-related award at the Oscar this year. The song Jai Ho is absolutely my favourite song at the moment, even at the Zumba class! Love it so so much! And I still think the original one is much more better than the Pussy Cat Dolls' version! My second favourite would be O...Saya. Even the slower song, Latika's Theme sounds so beautiful! I would prefer all the more 'Indian' tracks like Ringa Ringa and Liquid Dance, rather than those that are a bit more like pop songs. It's a really cool album if you want something not the ordinary pop or rock songs in the market.

Shirlexia's Baked Rice with Cheese & others...

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS TO FRIENDZ!!!

Okay, enough about all the craze on boy band...
Oh, although... I would like to say Choc 7 are sooooooooo coooooollllll!!!
Kekekeke...
Alright, today's post is about food again! Like Uncle Yip said, I just finished 'stuffing my face' in Taiping and am now back in KL to crap about the food, AGAIN!
First of all, the homemade food lar! During my stay in Taiping, I did this Baked Rice with Cheese (芝士焗饭) for my family. I did this quite a lot when I was in Perth since there was an oven at home and always loads of left over chicken rice from the restaurant I used to work at. But I stopped making it in KL since well, I don't have any oven here. So at home in Taiping I can make this again with the mini oven we have!
Tips for the rice: preferably overnight rice. Overnight rice are always good for stuff like this or fried rice. I also prefer it to be oily rice, like those you have with chicken rice. What you can do is you fry the rice with butter, garlic and some chicken stock to taste before putting them into the rice cooker to cook. This is always my mum's way to make 'fake chicken rice'. Hehe...Our version of oily rice is easy to make!
Other ingredients: oil, garlic, chicken pieces marinated with soya sauce and pepper, fresh prawns, mushrooms of any kind, carrot, broccoli, Mozzarella cheese, corn flour, oyster sauce or chicken stock to taste. Well these are what I used lar, you can always dump in whatever you like! That is why making food yourself at home is fun! :)The ingredients... I know lar there were two types of mushroom, I'm a mushroom maniac mah!
You should buy Mozarella cheese, I bought this just to cut down the budget. :p
So you have your rice ready, now start frying all the ingredients with some corn flour to make the gravy thicker. Yes, make sure there are some gravy so that your rice won't be too dry. Just like how you fry your vegetables...
Then? Simply pour the stuff over the rice! And then pour the cheese evenly over them and...Already looking very nice like this... Slurp...
Spread the cheese over the rice and whole bunch of stuff...
Dump it into the oven! I didn't even check what was the tempreture that day, just wait till the cheese melt and it is ready to eat! Wait... Wait... Wait... It is almost ready!
Ta~da~Shirlexia's Baked Rice with Cheese!
This is just like those you get to eat at Kim Gary, only difference is, you get vegetables in it so it's a more balance and healthier meal. Plus, you can choose whatever ingredients to put in!
Vivian definitely love it! :)The chef with her GREAT WORK. Kekekeke...
Vivian enjoying the yummy meal I made!
You can try doing it yourself cos it's really simple. If you want me to cook for you then you get me all the stuff lar yea!
Coming up... Homemade food from my lovely and funny mum. You know whenever I'm home I'm always the one who decide what is on the dinner table! Hehehe... So here are some of the highlights...My mum's first attempt in making this steam eggs I asked for, it has chicken egg, duck egg and century egg! Yum~!
Potato leaves with sambal udang! OMG, MY FAVOURITE!!!
Oh, this is the very nice seaweed soup, good to clear toxic off your body!
My mum's signature steam fish, she hates to fry fish cos it makes the whole house oily...
Oh, another favourite dish of mine!!! Bitter ground with chicken and black beans! Yummy!!!
Bonus, bonus: Ah Ma made this pork and pork ears the other day. It was awesome but fattening... ==|||
Yum~Yum~Yum~
I hope Bunny isn't reading this in the middle of the night again! Hehehe...
Oh wait, that's not all!
Mum brought me to this new stall at the hawker centre one night, recommending me its famous Claypot Tang Hoon (glass noodles)Crab. It might not look very nice, especially with the whole garlic and celery they put into it(we asked, apparently that is how it is supposed to be, according to the original recipe from Thailand), but I can assure you the taste is awesome! I especially love the fact that they have wine in it! So damn nice! But the crab aren't those big ones lar. They also sell seafood porridge, which I also tried. It wasn't as fantastic as the one at Matang lar, but ok, pass! The new stall at hawker centre which is not too bad.
Oh, and we ordered Taiping famous sugar cane juice! Just perfect for the BLOODY HOT WEATHER!!!
The fish and mince pork porridge.
Introducing, the super delicous Claypot Tang Hoon Crab!
The other stall in Taiping I would like to recommend is the chicken rice originally from Dai Chein(大千)which is now at M&M restaurant. I love the chicken rice since I was a kid, and I can tell you it's like the best chicken rice in Taiping and still the best I've ever eaten so far. The chicken is always fresh, the rice is like the BESTEST! And the soup too! I cannot tell you much by typing, you really have to go try for yourself!Remember this stall, it's the best chicken rice stall in town!
Highly recommended chicken rice, especially for those who are travelling to Taiping!
Okay, that's all for now, it's time to sleep. My parent and Vivian are in town! So gotta meet them up tomorrow! Actually I could have stayed with them at Ah Ma's place but then I didn't, because I wanted to watch :p
Alright, Good night! :)
