Here and There...

I swear I so want to start blogging about our wedding but really, there are too many photos (from so many photographers) that it will take a lot of time for me to go through them one by one before I can choose some to go with my coming wedding blog post! So, just stayed tuned! *wink~*
For now let's have a little updates from me even though I'm not sure how many of you care? LOL!

The Fashion Department:
Out on a casual Saturday!
I rarely wear loose t-shirts like this but when I saw this Cotton On t-shirt I just couldn't help but bought it home because somehow I think somewhere, some part of me is really a New Yorker! Ha, fake New Yorker I am!!! Love how it goes so well with my very old Forever 21 skirt and my new Zara heels!

I've always wanted a change to my plain short hair, so after my series of weddings, I've decided to really give it a go. I permed my hair, but only the front. So it looks something like this...
First day at work after 2 weeks of wedding 'holiday' sporting my new hair!
Although Deardo has a point that I look a bit more matured but then I personally think the hairstyle added a lot of character to my entire image! :) Now the problem is I need more time to style and I absolutely suck at styling my curly hair!
I'm also in dilemma whether to keep it for CNY next year or not? What do you think?
Mint colour FTW!!!
Just a photo of my colleague June and me on a day that we appeared in the office in same colour!

Women's Weekly Malaysia: Great Women of Our Time
So 4e was nominated for the Great Women of Our Time award and she decided to give her niece a chance to be exposed to social event at the award night itself. Pretty cool I shall say, pretty well-organised and superb decor and fine-dining dishes and services at Mandarin Oriental KL. It was interesting yet very exhausting socialising around... Phew~!!!
A night of stardom????
I was pushed to take photos with some celebrities by 4e who funnily enough, didn't know who are they, most of the time. LOL! But seriously, nothing beats meeting one of my favourite designers, and yes my favourite Malaysian designer Melinda Looi! I just had to send myself up to her and told her how I have admire her since high school!!! Totally starstruck man!!!
Debbie Goh was truly elegant!!!
With my long-time idol Melinda Looi, while totally ignoring Xandra Ooi at the back! LOL!
Next thing I know, I made it into the magazine, December issue!!! Aaaawwww~~~!!!
And now I have a month of stardom...
4e didn't win but honestly she has always been my hero in every single way, an example to me since young! So to the family, she is the winner, no matter what okay!!! :D

Annual Dinner 2013
This year's mini Annual Dinner's theme was Whimsical and Mad Hatters.
My inspiration this year was Effie Trinket from Hunger Games! I've always love seeing the clothes and bizarre make-up she constantly changed into in the movie, so I thought she would be my perfect inspiration since it's a whimsical night!
Happy Hunger Games~!!!
I didn't spend a cent renting any clothes or buying any hats. All I did was put on an old but whimsical-looking tulle dress (with the colourful belt I bought from Bangkok few years back) and put on my hair piece and birdcage net that I bought for my wedding, in stead of a hat. I also wore the cool stockings I bought long time ago with clouds, rain and thunder on it and my pink wedding shoe from Zara to complete the look.  I did however, spent some money on the make-up for the right effects that I want!
So how do you like my Asian Effie Trinket look???
Here are some other photos from the event for your viewing pleasure! :p
Lea Johnny and Shirlexia Tan in the house~!!!
Some other cool hat and Tiara (from me) by Jojo and Sabrina.
A group picture of us!!! Spot the cute mushroom hat guys!!!
Our very cool CMO who put so much of efforts into his whole look!!! Super sporting lor!!!
Yes, I won a lucky draw prize too! Second year in a row!!! Yay!!!
And this is, undeniably the deserving winner of The Best Hat Award!!! How can you beat that man???
Check out my evil Queen's look at last year's Annual Dinner!

Updates on Little Yue Yue
Yue Yue just turned 2 few days ago! Time really flies, isn't it?
At Yue Yue's birthday party where she wore her new dress Aunt Shirlexia bought for her as birthday prezzie. Surely, I've made her a fashionable kid isn't it? :p
Well as she grows older and smarter, little Yue Yue can be very annoying and naughty it sometimes irritates me a bit. But when she is in a good mood, she is such a cutie pie you just couldn't help but manja her like crazy!!!
Look at her!!! Cannot stand the cuteness lar!!!
That's all for now!
HAVE A VERY HAPPY DECEMBER YA'LL!!! :)

Genting for Michael Hui!!!

So we went to Genting AGAIN last Saturday for the Michael Hui Stand Up Comedy II Last Warning许冠文栋笃笑2之最后警告, a show I've been wanting to watch live right in front of my eyes for years! If you get what I was trying to do...
I don't know why but I really love this pic!
Michael Hui is to me, a LEGEND. No thanks to Mamo, I basically grown up watching his movies, together with his two other brothers. But yes, Michael Hui is always my favourite! He is funny just by showing some stupid facial expressions! To me, he is the best Chinese comedian of all! I can totally ignore Stephen Chow but I can never give up watching Michael Hui! And ever since he came to Genting the first time two years ago, I regretted so much for not attending his stand up show and thanks to someone, FINALLY I MADE IT!!! Yay~! :DNo doubt, it was a full house!!!
It was quite a good show to be honest. Though not extremely fantastic, but it was funny and entertaining. Most importantly, way better than Wong Tze Wah's! I think people love his joke for just one reason, very realistic. It's like he talks a lot about what is happening with the society, what you actually see everyday, thus making it easier to relate to those jokes. Can you bloody believe it that he is actually BLOODY 68 years old???
Good show Michael! 偶像就是偶像! Can't wait to watch his coming movie next year!!!

Dinner@Vietnam House, First World, Genting
Before Michael's show, we tried this new restaurant at First World. Ya know I'm always a fan of Vietnamese food! Hehehehe...Quite a nice-looking restaurant lar...
Can't wait for my food to arrive!!!
So we sat down and ordered a Vietnamese Beef Noodles, a Vietnamese Dry Vermicelli and a set of Vietnamese Spring Rolls (2 rolls). We thought the beef noodles and spring rolls were not up to our expectations. The spring rolls especially to me, were too sticky. I'm suspecting it was pre-done long time ago. As for the beef noodles, Pho Hoa at The Curve definitely serves better one! From top: Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Vietnamese Beef Noodles and Vietnamese Dry Noodles.
But our favourite is the Vietnamese Dry Vermicelli. It was the very first time we both tried such thing. Although I thought their vegetables were not cut nicely, hence not very presentable, but the overall taste of the sauce went really well with the noodles. Very refreshing and crispy too in a way, with some cucumber, lettuce and peanuts! And I actually think that was a very healthy dish! I intend to look out for the recipe and try to do that at home one day! :)

And so I think I had great time over that Saturday. Just some nice activities to distress a lil' before returning to reality. You see, here's my to-do-list at work...The problem is, while a lot of them are still without a tick, the list actually goes on and on and is now almost end of a second page of my to-do-list. Sigh... Honestly, I've never felt so frustrated before about not completing my work in my previous jobs. After some months of sleepless nights trying to finish my work, I've actually gave up. I mean, I'm not paid to work from home, anywayz, so WTH??? Of course some times I just still couldn't help, but I'm doing quite well nowadays! :pAaaarrrh.... Actually just to show you a pic with my new hair-cut and new earrings! *winks~*
Let's hope that I have a little more time to complete them while having some time for myself lar!
Cheers everyone~! :)

Happy Birthday Papo @ 湖景阁,Flemington Hotel

Before I leave for KL in 2 hours time (aih... I don't wanna go... *pull Mamo's skirt~~~*), I've decided to blog about Papo's early (X)0 year-young birthday celebration.
Okay okay, Papo asked us not to tell how old is he but the truth is, he doesn't look like his age at all! Really, not at all! That's my new dress from Cotton On, new vest from Sub, old belt from Kitschen, old shoe from Rubi. Nice?
Anywayz, since his birthday is coming soon, we wanted to give him a treat before heading back to work. The simple family dinner was done at 湖景阁, a Chinese restaurant at Flemington Hotel with the five of us and two Ah Mas.

Very handsome birthday boy! :)
That was the very first time I dined at the restaurant which is barely two years old, I think. Before that I've heard bad reviews from people around me yet, I decided to give it a go. I mean, sometimes it really depends on which dishes you order lor! Plus, I wanted a high-end (or at least high-end looking restaurant) for my dearest Papo's big day celebration! So I thought 湖景阁sounds ok! Let's say this, Papo is always surrounded by girls!
Da boss and his girls...
Maybe we should frame this up! :)
And of course! A family photo of us five!
We had a VIP room to ourselves and ordered seven dishes of portion for five. The Five Happiness五福(RM150)has very nice fried shark fin with egg, jellyfish, cold shrimps with fruit, canned abalone and some deep fried meat. Absolutely unique!
I know we are not supposed to eat anymore shark fin... But this is really once in a while... :(
Here's the Dried Scallop and Crab Meat Shark Fin Soup 干贝蟹肉翅 (RM120). I really think they serve very nice shark fin soup!
Super duper fresh, everybody's favourite Steamed Garoupa 深海石斑鱼(RM70).
Marmite Pork Ribs 妈蜜排骨(RM25)was yummey~~~!!!
In stead of the birthday noodles, we opted for this Fatt Choy Mien发财面(RM25).
The sweet, sour and spicy prawn 古法干烧虾(RM40)has quite a unique taste!
Claypot vegetables with Omelet蛋皮煲(RM30) was really something new.
I was extremely happy with all the dishes! I will specially recommend the Dried Scallop Crab Meat Shark Fin Soup and Marmite Pork Ribs. The Shark Fin Soup because of its generosity of the dried scallops and crab meat, and even the shark fins! Marmite Pork Ribs because of its taste and its softness of the meat. The Garoupa we had was also damn fresh even Papo couldn't stop praising it!Nice ler our cake???
Haha I know it looks more like wedding anniversary! Lolz!
All of us after the yummy dinner!!!
We were all bloody fulled at the end of the night stuffing ourselves with the yummy food, nice wine and Secret Recipe's Chocolate Indulgence later! Phew~!
The bill came up to RM462, which was okay since it was actually CNY price, couldn't escape from that lar. At least we were all very much satisfied with the food and services we got!
And to Papo, A GRAND HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN ADVANCED!!! 身体健康、长命百岁!

*Check out other pictures here.

Over the weekend...

Just went through a busy and exhausting working weekend. In fact I will also be working for the next two weekends. So please do excuse me AGAIN if I don't update my blog... I really is forced to ignore my blog!!! *Big sigh~*
So before I drown myself with work again, let me share with you some stuff I did over the last weekend.

Cheap Dinners @ Petaling Street
Yes, it was 'dinners' with the 's' at the back! On Friday night Deardo and I went to KL for the original Soong Kee Beef Balls Noodles. We've had the commercialized version at Heritage Food Village at Lot 10 and this was our first time at their original shop at Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin.Say you didn't see someone posing in front of the shop... Say you didn't!
When we arrived the very famous Hon Kee porridge selling outside the shop was already closed. So I have no choice but to follow Deardo's unhealthy choice of having the beef noodles.
We both had the dried one with the beef innards and beef balls. True to its famous name, the noodles, which comes with the minced meat was awesome, and the innards and beef balls were fresh too. We both thought it was slightly better than the one at the Heritage Food Village, but not really a big difference, really. Yummy Soong Kee Beef noodles!!!
We ended up paying RM9.50 for one big and one small bowls of noodles, which was pretty cheap hey!I know he looks like clown here but ah well, that is why I love him! :p
And then I wasn't full enough. So we drove to Petaling Street to search for our second round. I was hoping the Hon Kee porridge there open at night too sadly it doesn't open for business at night. So we ended up having the very famous Kam Lin Gei Hokkien Mee, which I've tried before but not Deardo. The very famous charcoal fried Hokkien Mee!
We had a Hokkien Mee with Mihoon and a plate of stir-fried potato leaves. The Hokkien Mee was simply delicious, with a little charcoal smell in the noodles. And the pork lart does make a difference too! Definitely one of the best Hokkien Mee we've ever tried!Me enjoying my second round of dinner... Fei lor fei lor fei lor...
And guess what? The bill came up to RM20 (Medium Hokkien Mee, RM12 and vegetables RM8) only! So we spent only RM30 for two dinners! Now who said KL food are expensive???

I was working on Saturday and Sunday for a fair and I kinda enjoyed it! :)Me posing in front of a backdrop that I've spent so much energy helping to complete the list.

On Saturday night Deardo and I were in Genting (yes, AGAIN) for Wong Tze Wah's 娱乐圈血肉史stand-up show. It was our first time watching a live stand-up comedy! Because of the topic, the content might not be very easy for everyone to understand, but then there were still big part of the performance that we laughed out really loud and really enjoyed a lot! Not too bad an experience! :)
For now, I just couldn't wait for Michael Hui's return to Malaysia!!! It was another full house for Wong Tze Wah!!!
Wasn't allowed to bring camera in but ah well... :p

Work is taking up a lot of my time now. I totally hate it but ah well, life must go on lar yea.
Hopefully I'll be able to update a little soon! :)
