Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Director: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo
Cast: Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Samuel L. Jackson
Synopsis: Now living in the modern life, Steve Rogers or Captain America continues to work for S.H.I.E.L.D but eventually found out the organisation isn't as simple as what he thought it would be.
The Thumb-Up(s): Without much technology (god Captain America can't even fly), the movie has a lot of real action to show, it's almost like watching a Jackie Chan's police-themed movie, if you know what I mean. And that is quite amazing to watch. While the storyline seems to be quite normal for a super hero movie, the twist in the end when they found out the real identity of the Winter Soldier was a good one as it creates a sentimental storyline for both the hero and the villain.
While Sebastian Stan didn't impress me much on his acting, the character that they have created for him as the Winter Soldier deserved an applause. It's like a villain that was forced to do whatever ordered and you'll actually feel bad for him. Also, while nothing interesting acting wise, I totally love the chemistry between Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson and I would really love to see them together more in the next sequels! Of course, I think there is a bias in me because I love them two good-looking people! :p
The Thumb-Down(s): Well it has not much of technology to watch if you are a fan of say Ironman. And sad to say, there weren't a stand-out scene, making most of the scenes totally forgettable. (well I do remember the scene where the Black Widow asked Steve Rogers if that was his first kiss in N years, that was a funny one!)
The Verdict: As a superhero movie, it has done an above average job.
3.5 out of 5
