Phew~Just finished Sean Penn's 21 Grams on YouTube! OMG he looks so SEXY when he is naked in the movie! Kakakaka...
Anywayz, Sean Penn is not the main subject of this post, as promised, here's our Broga Hill's adventure...
Nangka!
Broga Hill
Belacan

Phoebe!:)

I need help, guys!!!

OMG, I've just finished watching Sean Penn's Oscar acceptance speech again! And that was like probably the 100th times or something like that. I can even remember what he said now, you commie-homo-loving sons of guns! And oh, the more I see him, the more I think he is so handsome, and the more I wish I was Robin, his wife who actually used her hands and forced him to kiss her before he went on stage to accept the award!!!
Gosh, Sean Penn really makes me blush!!!*Blush*Sean Penn is the most handsome guy in the world, at least for this week!
For those of you who haven't watch Milk, which is obviously not going to be on Malaysian cinemas (because Malaysia is not a commie-homo-loving sons of guns' country), you better watch it whenever you have a chance! I just found out the director, Gus Van Sant was also the director of Good Will Hunting! Gosh, he is my hero man! He made my Matt Damon won an Oscar years ago, and now he made Sean Penn has his second one too!
Anywayz, here's the preview...

So I'm obviously having this Sean Penn fever since the last few days. I'm now crazy hunting for his older and famous movies!!! I just got Mystic River, the movie that he won his first Oscar's Best Actor award 5 years ago, and surprisingly found Into the Wild (2007), which is a movie he directed. I'm now dying to get 21 Grams (2003) and Dead Man Walking (1995), which is so old that I'm almost sure it's very tough to find the VCD or DVD. And if possible, I want to get Sweet and Lowdown (1999) too!
So guys, I will need your help to find them! Whether it's VCD or DVD, originals or pirated (but don't tell Sean Penn lar), or even downloaded version (shhhhhh...), I want them all, PLEASE!!! Help me find them, ok?
Thanks a lot in advanced!!! :)

And here are the movies I've watched recently...
Burn After Reading
I got interested after seeing the very unique and eye-catchy poster and knowing that it's the latest work of the Coen brothers (last year's Oscar Best Director winner).
The storyline itself is quite unique, it's like everything happened very randomly and you will be surprise by many of the scenes. I think it is basically a comedy, although I think only about 20% of the movie made me laugh, a little. But I honestly don't like the ending, it made you feels like, WTF??? That's all??? But maybe that is art, not for me to understand.
But I guess the best thing is the cast! I love almost every single one of them! Except for John Malkovich (really have no idea who's that guy), there are George Clooney (ooohhhh... Sexy old man+funny), Brad Pitt (I actually like him in this movie more than in Benjamin Button), Tilda Swinton (she is bloody cool) and Frances McDormand (gosh I love her)! They just made the movie looks so good, especially Frances, she is hillarious!
So... My conclusion is, it's not too bad, if you don't mind spending your money watching these very famous actors and directors' work! Of course, don't be surprise with the ending!

Billu Barber (Hindi)
So, a Hindi movie after probably 2 years!
I saw the poster at the cinema earlier and I thought, this one looks good, I must watch it, although it means I might be the only Chinese in the whole cinema (in fact I was the only one). The reason I was attracted was because it says it's a comedy, and incidentally starring Shah Rukh Khan ('Shah Rukh Khan' didn't attracts me okay, it was the word 'incidentally'), and most importantly there is Irrfan Khan. If you just watched Slumdog Millionaire, he is the guy playing the role of the police, I'm quite a fan of him!
The story talks about Billu, the barber (Irrfan Khan) who owns a barber shop but is having no business and no money. Suddenly his old time friend Sahir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan), who is a superstar came to his village to film a movie. Everybody knows Billu is his friend and thus came to pamper him with money and all loads of stuff so that Billu can bring them to meet Sahir. But Billu's egoness avoided him from going up front to meet Sahir, worried that he might have forgotten who he is... Then there is this stories in the middle lar, of course in the end it's a happy reunion.
I actually like the movie. Simply because it is not that 'emo', not that 'over-reacting', and not too much of the dancing and singing (got lar, but considered little liao lor). Best of all, its all about friendship and not about love, or hardness to love, etc... Just not that kinda ordinary Hindi movies you know. But it's really weird watching Irrfan Khan speaking Hindi in the entire movies! I reckon he is such a hot item in Hollywood now. I saw him in the Namesake and A Mighty Heart, and then Slumdog Millionaire! Of course, all English speaking movies! By the way, Shah Rukh Khan didn't sounds so 'incidentally' as the poster says. I actually think he has quite the same scenes as Irrfan Khan okay?

Alright, I hope I can post up one on my Broga Hill trip by tommorrow. Till then, see ya! :p

Breakfast @ Yut Kee

I was going to do this post after my Broga Hill post, but hor, 'someone' cannot wait any longer wor, so here I am lar, crapping about food again. I mean, now my blog is giving people an impression like it's a food blog nowadays! Oh well, I guess that is not too bad lar since I am a food lover mah!
So... It was Sunday and I had to go to The Voice Academy to get my result. But it was Sunday! I hate going out on Sunday by bus... You will get all the Bangladeshi, Indian or whatever foreign workers taking every single seat in the bus! They aren't gentlemen at all, even if you are bloody old or you are bloody pregnant, they will never give away their seat! Stupid! And and... as you stand in front of them, they will bloody stare at your breasts like wow, they've never seen a woman's breasts before!!! Bloody perverts!!!
So anywayz, that was why I asked Karen to pick me up, and together with 'Ah Joe', we went to Yut Kee for breakfast.I was very excited about Yut Kee, since Karen has been telling me how famous it is (her uncle owns it). And I love having heavy and nice breakfast!!! :)Yut Kee at a glance...
So Yut Kee is a very old kopitiam situated at Dang Wangi, and its opposite Oriental Daily HQ. Actually, it is a very famous kopitiam and I'm actually very out-dated to have only gone there now.
Let's go straight to the food!
For starters, Karen ordered her favourite half-boiled eggs, plus two sets of Roti Bakar. The Roti Bakar there is different, where they give you the bread without anything in it, you will have to spread the butter and Kaya yourself. Now the main thing here is their homemade Kaya. Really not bad, although its still umcomparable to my Ah Ma's green pandan Kaya. :)Boiled egg... I didn't try that.
The Roti Bakar and the yummy kaya!
I also ordered the Lam Mee. I don't know what kind of Lam Mee it is, but it is a bit different compared to the ones we are used to. The soup isn't those thick one, and there isn't egg in the soup. In stead, there are small pieces of fried eggs in it. BUT the one thing that surprises me is that it doesn't have chicken or pork, only seafood--fish, prawns and crabmeat (yes, and I mean fresh crab meat, not crab stick)! I actually like it a lot!!!The very special Lam Mee!!! Looooooveeeee it!
Then I just can't control myself from ordering a bowl of fish porridge. The porridge actually disappoints me a bit. It was a bit tasteless. Maybe that is why there are soya sauce and pepper for us on the table???The fish porridge. They also have pork, chicken and beef porridge!
We always say, save the best for last, right???
So I'm saving it to the very last one...
Be prepared...
...

...

...
It's Yut Kee's very famous speciality--Roti Babi!!!
I know, I know that sounds so illegal. Some Muslim friends might get offended ler! But anywayz, Yut Kee isn't Halal, so does Shirlexia, and so does her blog! Nah, nah, nah... Pork is too tasty for me to make myself Halal!!! :p
Anywayz, Roti Babi is like two pieces of Roti with mince pork, pork pieces, Chinese sausages, maybe bacon?, and crab meat (again!) in it! And the Roti is covered with egg before being fried! See, only by reading these description, you can already feel how yummy it is, right?
Here you are...
Roti Babi, the best dish we had that morning!
So that was our yummy breakfast, which together with the drinks, comes to a total of RM30. Not too bad a price lar.
Well, Yut Kee's chicken chop is also very famous, I would really really really like to go back to try that! And Karen is a fan of the swiss rolls, I would like to try that too! OMG, I just sooooo sooo sooo want to go there again to have another good breakfast!!! Huh? Karen? When is it coming huh?

P/S: Hey Cincai Group people! Can please send me photos??? I need to update my blog! :)

YES!!! SEAN PENN WON!!!

YES! YES! YES!
When it was announced that Sean Penn won the Best Actor award at the Oscar 2009, I literally punched my hands into the air and shouted "YES!"... IN THE OFFICE!!!
(Oh well, I actually wish I could jump and run all over!!!)
Ok lar, I'm also a fan of Slumdog Millionaire and I'm very happy that they won a total of 8 awards (yea, a FREAKING 8 awards!!!), but that was like no surprise!
But Sean Penn was only the second favourite to win the Oscar, behind this guy called Mickey Rourke, who had beaten him at the Golden Globe earlier. That was why I had been so bloody kan cheong since this morning, before the event actually started!!!
And oh I love how Sean Penn delivered his acceptance speech! Humourous, and at the same time never forgot to be serious and came up with his praises for Barrack Obama too! Ha...
Here's some part of his speech I picked up here and there...

You commie, homo-loving, sons of guns,I did not expect this and...I know how hard I make it to appreciate me. I think it is a good time for those who voted for the ban against gay marriage to sit and reflect and anticipate their great shame and the shame in their grandchildren's eyes if they continue that way. We've got to have equal rights for everyone.

You see, the reason for me to love such actor like Sean Penn, is obviously not because he looks cute. Since
I Am Sam, which Jodi showed me years ago in Perth, I've fallen in love with this cool actor. I found him even 'cooler' later because of his personal character. He speaks his mind, doesn't care much about the paparazzi, doesn't do much interview, and he is also a political activist, agaisnt George W. Bush of course, and that is why I love him! And now he is also there to fight for gay rights, even though he is straight! See how sweet and cool Sean Penn is? I just found this particular article written about him really good.Sean Penn and his wife at the red carpet... They actually noticed he forgot to thank his wife!
That's Sean Penn in one of the scenes in Milk.
I also congratulate Milk for winning the Best Original Screenplay award. You know what? I, myself cannot believe it, that I was in tears when the writer Dustin Lance Black delivered his moving speech...
Oh my God. This was, um. This was not an easy film to make. First off, I have to thank Cleve Jones and Anne Kronenberg and all the real-life people who shared their stories with me. And, um, Gus Van Sant, Sean Penn, Emile Hirsch, Josh Brolin, James Franco, and our entire cast, my producers, Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen, everyone at Groundswell and Focus, for taking on the challenge of telling this life-saving story. When I was 13 years old, my beautiful mother and my father moved me from a conservative Mormon home in San Antonio, Texas to California and I heard the story of Harvey Milk. And it gave me hope. It gave me the hope to live my life, it gave me the hope to one day live my life openly as who I am and that maybe even I could fall in love and one day get married.
(He chokes up, audience begins to applaud.)

I want to thank my mom who has always loved me for who I am, even when there was pressure not to. But most of all, if Harvey had not been taken from us 30 years ago, I think he’d want me to say to all of the gay and lesbian kids out there tonight who have been told that they are less than by their churches or by the government or by their families that you are beautiful, wonderful creatures of value and that no matter what anyone tells you, God does love you and that very soon, I promise you, you will have equal rights, federally, across this great nation of ours. (Wild applause from the audience.) Thank you, thank you, and thank you God for giving us Harvey Milk.

Watch the touching video here.

Or here...

Dustin's acceptance speech is surely going to be remembered for a long long time.

Some actors and actresses, including Sean Penn himself was in tears. And while google searching for the speech, I found everybody is now talking about that speech!!! Looks like it is just going to be one of Oscar's classic!
There might be something wrong with me, Shirlexia, for crying for a gay guy's gay speech. Nah, I'm not gay, maybe just not yet. But I feel really really sad listening to what Dustin said. Let the gays have their rights! And to gay parents, there is just nothing wrong with your kids being gay! You guys should support them!!!
Well, anywayz, congratulations to Slumdog Millionaire!!!
I'm soooooo glad no surpriese happen there! :)
Big winner there, Slumdog Millionaire!!!
OMG, I'm so damn excited I don't think I can sleep tonight!!!
