Worst of Malaysia I

Alvin recently told me about this blog site, which is quite interesting, it's called The Worst of Perth. I actually think I can do something like , The The Worst of Malaysia or The Worst of KL. I've got some interesting photos too, which I wouldn't call them 'worst', they are just 'interesting' or 'weird'.
And it's time to start sharing them with you guys...You can find these in any of the Watson stores, they have very pretty packaging. I think they look like some fancy kinda lozenges. What do you think? Just guess...
1...
2...
3...
Well, they are actually condoms! I bet they cost more than the normal ones... But they are just normal condoms... Would you actually spend extra money to buy these condoms for the night just because it has a really pretty packaging? I mean, I don't know, maybe you will be all boost up to f**k someone when you see pretty things like this? Seriously, I sometimes put on a face mask while waiting for the bus to come at KL Central. The number of Malaysians smokers are you know... Terrible!!! This is taken by Ducum at a Malay food stall at Damansara Mutiara.
I think you get a lot of this in The Star, where you can get 50 bucks. It's just so Malaysian...
Ah... Ah... Don't you dare, this picture is copy righted to Ducum Tan!!!Pulau Langkawi is a very interesting island. They have all kinda weird names for their islands.
At Pulau Kentut Kechil, people fart softer while at Pulau Kentut Besar, people fart louder.
And if you're a Lion King's fan, you can find the daddy lions at the Pulau Singa Besar and the kid lions at the Pulau Singa Kechil.
And I would really like to pay a visit to the Pulau Beras Basah because... You all know I LOVE PORRIDGE!!!
This is also another picture taken in Langkawi, the mini market right in front of the apartment that I was staying during my trip.
Well, it may just sounds like a weird name for a mini market, but I warn you, you better be extremely careful when you tell people about it, especially on your punctuation. Imagine this...
A: Hello, where are you?
B: I'm at Pasaraya... Hello...
A: Hello? Yea, I'm here, you cannot hear me ar? I asked you, where are you now!
B: I'm at Pasaraya... Hello!
A: Hello? Hello? Yes, I'm here!
B: Yes I know, I'm here at Pasaraya... Hello!
A: HELLO???
B: #$@#%&**&&*^$$#I saw this notice very recently. It was the RapidKL notice they put on their buses prior to the election. Alright, it says they will have to cut down on their frequency of their buses due to the election, because their drivers need to complete their responsibility of voting. Fine... I understand you need to vote on the 8th, that was the voting day! So what about the 9th? You are only voting right? You don't bloody need to stay up and count the vote until the next day, right?
This is just another example of lazy Malaysians, plus, lazy RapidKL who still failed to impress me and the public on their services.Well, this obviously is a menu at a Chinese restaurant. I just took this picture today. Pay attention to the drinks menu. They sell Herbal Teh and Chinese Teh. You know my mum has a sister named Christine Teh? Apparently she also has two long lost sisters and I found them on the menu, and they are Herbal Teh and Chinese Teh. Wow, what a great name to emphasis someone who is a REAL CHINESE! Talking about Chinese restaurants... Well, they are not always bad in English you know. This one here is located in my hometown in Taiping. The Cantonese name of 无招牌 REALLY REALLY does mean 'NOSIGNBOARD'! And of course, I've seen Tony Leong's ass, Leslie Cheong's ass, Tang Wei's ass and many many more asses I guess. And I would say I enjoyed watching them. BUT definitely not this one lor... It was a bit scary when my mom, Ducum and I saw this middle-aged guy happily taking bath besides the Taiping wet market. We were like, freaked out and was praying that he doesn't turn over and do something weird... Uncle, can you just go to some public toilet to do that ar?

No, I'm not campaigning for Kenny Sia!

I had a bloody early assingment today in KL (gosh, I can't even remember when was the last time I had such early assignment), bloody 9.30am damn it! To make it worst, the people weren't even ready when I arrived probably around 9.40am... Malaysians ar I tell you...
Anywayz, since I've made it all the way to the city, I decided to go to Times Square to buy books for the month (some of you might not know I have a 100 bucks allowance each month from the company to buy English books). I'll skipped what are the books I bought because I bet you'll have any interest in that. The most important point here is, I bought CLEO!!!
It's been a few months since I last bought CLEO. I was an avid CLEO reader until end of last year I stopped buying it for two reasons: 1) Trying to save on my budget, so decided not to buy expensive magz. I bought the cheapest one, Life TV which was RM3, but stopped too since it got up to RM3.50 (see how culculative Chinese can be?), 2) Still sour with the fact that I didn't get a call-up after sending in my photos for the CLEO Cover Girl Contest, haha... Why did I actually have to announce this embarassing thing? BUT I have to buy the latest one lar... It's the 2008 CLEO Bechelors of the Year! How can I miss it? It's time to check out the cute guys again!
I went through the pictures while having my lunch at Uncle Lim. And then... I saw Kenny Sia! Look, I swear I did not edit anything on this previous blog post on me meeting Kenny. In the caption, I said:"They said he is one of the seven Most Coolest Malaysians! Presenting... Kenny Sia!!! I think the next one might be... Bechelor of the Year! " And within two months time it comes true!
Okay, face it, he is not in the 'cute' or 'good-looking', nor 'handsome' category. You can even describe him as 'the round-round and short short one' (look at the pic I took with him, he's shorter than me). But I love his blog, his weird and funny thinking, and those are far more important than the look, right? So I continue reading his Q & A section and I just laughed out so loud alone that I think the people over there thought I'm crazy or something. This is the part that is so funny yet serious... "Q: Which actor would play you in a movie about your life? A: Chua Soi Lek, he is awesome and technically he is an actor right?" Fucking good answer man! Who on earth would think of that answer? I'm sure people would answer shit like Brad Pitt or Daniel Craig, etc... That's why I tell you Kenny is brilliant! But of course I am sure there must be some noises coming out from Mr Chua's supporters, just like how they tembak him in his blog when he made fun of Mr Chua in his blog. For that, I congratulate CLEO for having the guts to publish that answer on their mag.
I can't seems to find any cute or hot guys (again) in the candidates. And I think the make-up are definitely too much on the guys. And the website they gave aren't working. I guess maybe because the voting hasn't really started yet until April 1. I never really voted for anyone over the past few years and am not sure if I'm going to do it this time. But if I do, Kenny, you have my vote! :)
Great that Owen made it, I think he looks really smart in real person!
Afshin, my facourite of all, too bad the make-up was again, too much! Ouch!!!
Another example of 'too much of make-up'.......
Nas, seen him somewhere but I can't remember. He's a DJ and actor!
I'm serious, this guy looks 80% like my cousin brother Chin Kia...
Never ever in my life that I'd ever thought my cousin brother is good-looking....
My god, I'm actually very sick right now, having flu and sore throat... How come I can still stay up and do sutffs like this???

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

This one is dedicated to all my dear friends...
With my weird working days and hours, it is not surprising that I found myself having lesser and lesser friends that I could hang out with, to have lunch or dinner with, to do things(whether nasty or not) with. And it makes me think of the time I had when I was still a student, having the whole lot of friends and whole lot of time to waste by doing some really crazy stuffs.
I think the 'craziness' started when I was twelve...
I got into the best class (means the top 50 in the year) in Standard Six, and then got 'polluted'. No thanks to Yu Foong, who taught me so much! From speaking Cantonese to courting guys. Now that I think about it I can really laugh at myself because of the amazing stuffs we did. Can you believe that we can actually find a guy's number using the yellow pages directory? First of all, you need to know his surname, then you can cut the numbers down with searching for only those in Taiping. And then you call everyone to ask for that guy! Amazing stuffs lar I did I tell you... It was also damn funny that we were all writing our so-called love novels and share them among each other... My god, what were we thinking???
From left: Me, Ming Wai, Yu Fong and JE at my 12 year-old birthday party. They are soooo killing me because of this picture...
During secondary school I got stuck with the choir gang. Some people make fun of us being the singing gang. Okay, you get that all the time, right? They like to run past you and started humming and all I wanted to say to them was "fuck off"! We shared the wins and losses over the years of competing against the bitches (wakakaka... only we know who they are), we laughed and cried together... GREAT TIME! We love singing and we love taking pictures! Back then, we took so many crazy pictures that I don't know how much we spent just to develop them (no digital cam yet)! Thank god we are still the same gang who really love posing for the camera till today! Some of us only meet once a year during CNY and I still like that kinda crazy spirit we have! What spirit is that? I don't know what's the word to explain it, really! I hope we have many many years to go.......
'The gang' at our CNY gathering 2007.
And then I was 17 when I got into college in KL.
Because of the fact that the college has really minority of Chinese. YV, Jess and later Ally and me got along just like that! Needless to say, we were the only Chinese girl students in our batch(there were Koo and weird Eric too, was it?). I think the thing that we did together the most was the non-stop eating trips to everywhere in the city, and even to Seremban! Phew~! No wonder I put on so much weight in KL! Aaawww...The 'used to be' super duper good friends...
Sad thing is that all misunderstandings gave a sour end to the friendship we used to have.
And when I was 19 I flew to Perth, Australia. It was the best two years of my entire life!
I met Alvin. I hope you don't mind I put your name here. We had a short relationship after knowing each other for a while and it was unbelievable that we remain as friends until today. You're always so caring and nice to me although I know I've hurt you. Thanks a lot! Seriously, I miss your hugs a lot!
Alvin's on the left, my first ever serious bf, and now one of the few friends I can share stuffs with.
But it was Unit 1 of Vickery House that made me enjoyed my stay in Perth soooooo much! We were a bunch of people with different nationalities. But we just clicked! We watched shows like Australian Idol together, discuss about it over dinner, we had dinners together, we had our own house dinner every semester, we even laugh about Krit and Kevin together (Ooooppsss...) To Kevin, Sheryn, Krit, Jodi, Lina and Gan, miss you guys! Muakkkkkssss...
I'm just going to use the same old line... Unit 1 Rockzzzz! Top from left: Gan, Kevin and Krit. Bottom from left: Sheryn, me, Lina and Jodi.
Jodi was my best friend in Perth, despite the fact that she is an ang mo. We had great time together just because we were both crazy and weird in our own way. Find out more about us here! I miss her a lot although I don't know how long can we be as crazy as we were! Hehehehe...
Another crazy thing Jodi and I, plus Dana (Jodi's sis) did on our trip down south--Visited Margeret River at midnight and took crazy pictures like this!
And then the working experience at Penang Food Restaurant that gave me a chance to know lots of new friends, especially Indonesians! They were all sooooo loving! We have farewell parties every semester when someone is leaving, we had X'mas party, birthday parties, dim sum sessions, etc. It was just a cool gang of us! It had just made our working experience so much more fun! Miss them all so so much!
The steamboat buffet farewell dinner for me.
The very not bad Kimchi House farewell dinner...
And then came the three muskitiers! After the ori Unit 1 dismissed in 2006, I stayed on with Lina in the house with the new member, Revathi we formed the three muskitiers(or so how someone called us). The true 'masyarakat majmuk' of Malaysia! We cooked together, ate together, hang-out at each other's room and chit-chatted till midnight all the time... Well, haven't seen both of them for almost one year now! Grrrhhh... Feel like killing Rev lar, came back for summer break also couldn't get some time out!!!
Miss Malaysia x 3... Kakakakakaka...
Of course, there are still LOTS of them that I didn't get to mention. But you guys know I miss you all and I appreciate the friendships we have even though we might not see each other that often.
LOVE YOU ALL! FRIENDSHIP FOREVER!
Remember... I'll be there for yooooouuuuu...

Ducum's 21st @Ole-Ole Bali

Despite the fact that I'm really trying to save on my budget, I couldn't help but told Ducum that I'm going to give her a treat on her 21st birthday. So this time we've decided to go to Ole-Ole Bali for some so-called Balinese cuisine. The very fancy-looking Ole-Ole Bali.
My favourite part of the restaurant... The yellow wall with some really colourful pictures.
It was my first visit to this fancy-looking restaurant. A first look at the menu, I knew this is a 'polluted' Balinese restaurant. They sell pastas, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, etc, all Western food, just in their own flavour. Well, anyway, we ordered three dishes to be shared. The portion is of course quite big and the price is also quite costly. But nonetheless, I think we enjoyed them a lot. The lamb was pretty nice, the Dory fish was not bad. But the thing that made them nice I think was the gravy. Trust me, you're gonna love it too! The side dish, the apple sesame coleslaw was also really nice. And not to forget, the drinks! I can't really remember the name, but it's just this lime juice that is so special! Of course, Ducum and her friends wanted to dance so much when they hear the traditional music that they play in the restaurant, so maybe you can pay a bit of attention to the music when you go there!Grilled Dory Fish, I love the gravy!Lamb and Chicken combo, and the tasty apple sesame coleslaw!Deep-fried squids... Not too bad, but not too fantstic.
The super nice lime juice! Well, probably the most Balinese stuffs that we've ordered!
And that's me, trying to get a good view of the restaurant.
Well, of course, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAH MY LIL' SISTA!And don't forget, you still owe me money!

Yum yum!!!
旁边还有卖Terry(棒棒堂)的龙袍哦,嘻嘻!
