CNY '09 (I) The Family Photos

Oh~ I so love being at home now! Especially with the new wireless internet connection much more better than the one Daniel Tang got us in KL! That bloody stingy businessman doesn't even worth mentioning on a Chinese New Year!!!
Anywayz, right before CNY actually started its celebration, the Tan family decided to take some family photos (yea, did it before CNY to make sure we all look slimmer, hehe...). We took some family photos about 2 years ago in the studio and don't think they look really good, that was why we wanted to forget about the studio thingy this time. So, with the camera timer on, and with Ducum and me as the director of the family photo session, here are the CRAZY outcome...

Family members: Mr. Tan, Mrs. Tan, Shirlexia, Ducum and Vivian.
Theme: Chekerboxes (hey, hey, the Tan family is very up-to-date in terms fashion, okay?)
Location: Our lovely home.
Time: Around 1am-2am.
First up, a FORMAL and NORMAL one.Really nice, right? So much more better than those you get in the studio!
Then, another very nice one! :)I really think the colour and the chekerbox made the picture really nice!
And then, the kids wanted something funny, but the parent don't want to co-operate...Haha... I think Pa and Mi actually look funnier than us!
Of course then, the parent cannot tahan liao, started their comedic pose!See... Everybody also HAPPY! :)
I honestly don't know why we have this following pose, but well it look nice!Perhaps we are all hoping for money to come lar!!! Money, money, money, I love you!
And then, it's the one that I've been planning for a while, a fashion magazine cover-pose, good for TIME magazine the fashion version, can beat the Obama family man...Damn cool man, especially when my mum was really sleepy and that this pose really suits her.
Prepare yourself for the last one... It's...

Kakakakaka~! Look at my mum & dad!!!
Hahahaha~~~!!!
I know, now you must be envy of me for having such fun and sporting parent, right? And imagine, it was like midnight you know! The Tan family are definitely whole bunch of 综艺咖! Kakakakaka~~~~
Bonus here, a very trendy one...
Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!!
More updates to come soon...

Shirlexia 祝大家新年快乐!!!
万事如意!
身体健康!
财源广进!
学业进步!
龙马精神!
Shirlexia wishes everyone out there a Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year!!!

P/S:I'm seriously not a fan of forwarding whole lots of Chinese New Year SMS wishes to friends. Neither am I someone who would always reply to your forward messages. It's like you send me a long SMS with those wishes and me sending you "Thanks, & Happy CNY 2 u 2!" That's really boring. I'm also not someone who would go around all my friends in Facebook and write on your wall saying Happy Chinese New Year! But yea, you know I still have the heart to wish you guys out there a very HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! :) Oh, you can leave comment here, I will reply! :p

P/S 2: I'm already in Taiping. Feeling very bored at home, so if you fancy a catch up or yum cha session, call me up, okay?

La~La~La~

1) The guy at the right, at the cashier, I think he is kinda cute.
2) If you have my MSN, you will have the hint on who is he, or at least what business his father runs.
3) I kinda like him! *Blush*

The Niu Ze Xui Adventure

Plenty of nice photos ahead... Yay! Yay! Yay!
Ducum went to Niu Ze Xui (Nah, not the one in Singapore, this is the one at Kelana Jaya) last week with her friends and found a really fancy and cute looking cafe there. I couldn't stand not going to have a look! So on Wednesday(where there are no interesting movies to watch on the Super Wednesday WTF) me and Ducum went there after work.
As we reached Kelana Jaya by bus, I knew it was a big mistake to come without a car. Taxis are limited, and there are some Malaysians with bloody true Malaysians attitude would take over your place and stop the taxi first even if they came later than you, and then the taxi drivers refused to take us there as well...The auntie who 'stole' the taxi from us! Grrrrrhhhh...
We wait... And wait and wait... (This was when Ducum started her camwhoring session...)Like my new shoes??? I got them from DressUp Girls, my latest favourite boutique.
Whatever lar, too many pictures I lazy to put caption liao.
Finally we gave up, walked to the other side to get a taxi at the LRT station, and we had to squeeze in the taxi with two other bloody scary looking Indon guys, WTF?

So anywayz, we reached there safely lar, although it was already bloody 8pm! The hungry sisters then run for the dinner! The cafe is named Full House Lifestyle and Cafe. With a white base, the cafe is full of fancy and cute deco items, including a mini cooper at the entrance. It's actually with a Korean theme. You will be greeted with Korean language, they sell Korean casual wears and sunnies at the second floor, although... THEY DO NOT SELL KOREAN FOOD.Full House... Make you think of Rain???
Very the cute punya mini cooper!
Bla Bla White sheep have you any wool???
Inside Full House. Nice ler??? Ohya, the last table is just a deco, we did not have such table for dinner.Bed not for us to sleep too... So sad...:(The fashion department...
Harrlooo??? Can you bloody hear me???Shirlexia posing~posing~posing~!
Even the menu is sooooooo bloody hell CUTE!!!
For dinner, these are what we ordered...Chocolate Peppermint Ice Blended for Ducum. Shirlexia still has her cough so she only had a few sips. :p We both agreed it's bloody nice because the taste is really thick! And the price! Wow! Really would prefer this than other expensive cafes! :)Clam Chowder as starter, although it came later than our main dish... It's a bit too creamy for me, but Ducum loves it. So yea, make your own choice lar, huh.I ordered the Wok Sear Chicken Chop, whatever the Wok Sear means... It's actually this chicken chop with some special gravy. I don't like the sauce very much, not especially they put raisins in it(Euw~). But the chicken itself was awesome! I don't know why, probably because the chicken was fresh, or the stuff they use to marinate the chicken was really yummy. I really love the chicken! It is served with mash potato and Pak Choy.Ducum had this Pan Sear Dory Fish, haha, all very the fancy names lar... Also served with mash potato and Pak Choy. Ducum said the gravy wasn't nice, the fish was too cold, and they were a bit stingy with the gravy too.
So, the chicken wins! And for dessert, we had this tiny little piece of Tiramisu. Although, we think the cake may not be that fresh, the taste was quite good hey! But I gotta say, the price is a bit too much lor...OMG! I can be such a good commercial actress lar!!!Okay, okay, Ducum comes in second...
Well, I guess we will have to say the food is not all that fantastic lar. But the price is quite reasonable. I would say it is rather a perfect place to hang out with friends and family than a place for good food. Will definitely come back one day!
Then we take a stroll down Niu Ze Xui, and completely fell in love with it!!!
Like Ducum's friend said it, it's a high-class version pasar malam. There are many proper looking stalls, with cleaner and cooler environment. Most of the stalls are under the same boss I guess, so some of the cute stuffs they sell repeated as you walk on. Those stuff are sooooooo CUTE AND CHEAP!!! Shirlexia molesting the Spiderman! Too bad it's not Tobey Maguire! :p
LOVE THAT PLACE!!!
Needless to say, we spent some money there lor... But no regrets, they are so worth it!!!

So although we were so bloody tired after the trip(and we were also very lucky to get a cab from Niu Ze Xui, thank god, Amen, O mi tuo fo~So, okay my advice is go there only if you have a car!!!), we spent time taking pictures with the stuff we bought just for you guys!!! Hahaha...Seriously cute key chains of egg tart, chicken wing and siew yok at RM4 each, necklace at RM10 and plastic daisy flower at RM3.50! Good deals aren't they?
Yellow necklace RM10, and also Ducum's favourite black rose(plastic one lar) at RM3.50. And... Nice picture, priceless! :p
Ducum's necklace also at RM10, nice picture and good photographer, Shirlexia! Kakakaka...
I'm sure you will scream seeing these cute socks with a '3D' mushroom on them, just like I did!
Nice ler??????

P/S: It is not always you get Ducum to be in such a camwhoring mood when she is with me, and not always so semangat to edit photos for me too! So for once, clap! Clap! Clap! :p

I bloody want to watch Slumdog Millionaire!!!

Not that I want to update my blog so often, it's just that I'm a bit bored now, and well I have some movie reviews to share with... Although... I found movie reviews are always those posts that don't really attract any comments... :(
I've watched these movies probably last week or earlier, so I'm still trying to refresh everything...

They Wait
For once, I'm interested with a horror (as in ghost movie) movie Hollywood made. Of course, it was because it's basically a ghost movie based on the Chinese beliefs.
I must say, the effects and all isn't that fantastic, not really that kinda 'ghost' that will freak you out, it just freak you out for that one second when they suddenly appear. Best of all, I love the storyline where the 'ghost' came from ages ago! You can see the old fashion machines, clothes, etc.
Let's say this, I like the movie! It is not that scary actually, but it's a pretty smart and good ghost story. I always like ghost story with a good ending, as in there is a good reason why the ghost came to find the main character. And that is what They Wait has! And I love that little boy! His name is Terry Chen! He is quite cute and well, feels a bit like Haley Joel Osmen you know! And you will have to watch it if you like Zheng Pei Pei.
Congratulations to the director. At last there is one Hollywood horror movie I like.

Bonus here is I've also watch an old movie Little Miss Sunshine (I think that was last year) on DVD, it's really cool and cute! And also Juno, which is also a movie released last year but is only in our cinema here now. It's also a bloody cool and funny movie to watch! Just that well, I bet most parts of it might be censored lor...
The 'IT' movie at the moment would definitely be Slumdog Millionaire!!! I've wanted to watch this movie after reading about it in a magazine last week. And then it became the big winner and the Best Film award winner at the recent Golden Globe! Wow!
I mean, I always admire smart people who can make a movie out of one simple person, one location or just something that happens in a day time! Slumdog Millionaire sounds bloody smart man! And I just know I'm going to love the movie because it is shot in the colourful India, and oh man, the music would be fun too!
I WANT TO WATCH SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE!!!
