Breakfast with a Smile @ Funny Kakak Nasi Lemak Stall, Bukit Damansara

I'm a BIG BREAKFAST PERSON. I love having breakfast, and I love them to be nice savoury stuff most of the time. One of my all-time favourite breakfast gotta be Chinese economic fried bihun with curry gravy, topped with a fried egg or luncheon meat. Ooooo... Typing this is already making me hungry.
Unfortunately there isn't such thing near my office and in fact for a few weeks I was struggling to find cheap and nice breakfast until I found this particular Nasi Lemak stall.
The kakak (right) is often seen managing the stall with her daughter.
Opened weekdays morning, right at the side of CIMB Bank Bukit Damansara (where the taxi stand is), the stall's variety of food is probably the most complete that I've ever seen. You can have the most basic Nasi Lemak at RM1.20 or choose to go with your favourite 'lauk' (dish), from fried chicken, sambal sotong, beef, paru or chicken which were all cooked in flavours that I'm not sure of. But surely, they all look very appetising.
Best of all, you will be greeted by the overly excited and cheerful kakak who often just make me laugh just by the way she talks to me! Trust me, go and give her a try! :p
It's like a mini buffet!
Fried Bihun, Sambal Sotong and Fried Egg, only RM3!
If you are like me, trying to avoid Nasi Lemak for health and diet purposes, then go ahead and choose from fried mee, fried kuay teow or fried bihun. No curry gravy here though, but you can still have it with sambal! I normally pick a fried egg or sambal sotong, sometimes both to go with my bihun. It's freaking cheap too cos I usually only pay RM2 for a bihun and one side dish. While the bihun and fried egg are nothing to shout about, the sambal sotong is easily the best I've ever tried! The ones I tried before are often too rubbery but this one oh gosh they might look very ordinary but they are so soft and tasty!
If you are not a big eater, there are a selection of kuih, from colourful Nyonya kuih to doughnuts, popiah and curry puff. So far I've only tried the curry puff, Sambal Ball and Popiah and I must say they are all equally good, especially the Sambal Balls! The flour based snack is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside while the generous amount of Sambal filling made the Sambal Ball a must try to those who love everything spicy! All kuihs are sold at only RM0.40 per piece! That means you can have three curry puff for breakfast at only RM1.20! That's pretty cool isn't it?
Fried Popiah.
The Awesome Sambal Ball.
What a nice option for cheap and nice breakfast that comes with super cheerful services! :)
