Despite the fact that I'm really trying to save on my budget, I couldn't help but told Ducum that I'm going to give her a treat on her 21st birthday. So this time we've decided to go to Ole-Ole Bali for some so-called Balinese cuisine. The very fancy-looking Ole-Ole Bali. My favourite part of the restaurant... The yellow wall with some really colourful pictures. It was my first visit to this fancy-looking restaurant. A first look at the menu, I knew this is a 'polluted' Balinese restaurant. They sell pastas, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, etc, all Western food, just in their own flavour. Well, anyway, we ordered three dishes to be shared. The portion is of course quite big and the price is also quite costly. But nonetheless, I think we enjoyed them a lot. The lamb was pretty nice, the Dory fish was not bad. But the thing that made them nice I think was the gravy. Trust me, you're gonna love it too! The side dish, the apple sesame coleslaw was also really nice. And not to forget, the drinks! I can't really remember the name, but it's just this lime juice that is so special! Of course, Ducum and her friends wanted to dance so much when they hear the traditional music that they play in the restaurant, so maybe you can pay a bit of attention to the music when you go there!Grilled Dory Fish, I love the gravy!Lamb and Chicken combo, and the tasty apple sesame coleslaw!Deep-fried squids... Not too bad, but not too fantstic. The super nice lime juice! Well, probably the most Balinese stuffs that we've ordered! And that's me, trying to get a good view of the restaurant. Well, of course, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAH MY LIL' SISTA!And don't forget, you still owe me money!
Step Up 2 The Streets I love dance movies, especially these hip-hop ones. So I made sure that I didn't miss it by catching it today before heading to work! And I gotta say, it is not like the best of all the dance movies, but still it was really COOL!!! The whole story is a bit cheesy but the choreography just shocked me right from the beginning! And the one thing I like about it is that it is no longer about racist and stuffs like that. All the dancing crews have white and black, and even Asians and Spanish without more emphasize! And the main crew are a special bunch too, you will know what I mean as you watch it! Of course the best part is the final competition scene which was done in the rain! It was SOOOOOOOO COOL!!!帅啊! Martian Child It's quite a normal movie about father and son that made me cried in the cinema. The only difference is that the kid this time is kinda weird. Like he doesn't like the sun and thinks that he is from the Mars, plus was 'living' in a box before John Cusack adopted him.
Dan in Real Life Alright, I watched this about 2 or 3 weeks back so I'll try hard to remember how was it. Its about this widower and his life with his daughters, family and then his new found girlfriend. I guess it was not bad, a very light kinda movie, good for a good laugh and also some really cute meanings behind it. I remember I love the final line before the movie ends. But I really couldn't remember. It was something like erm... Don't ask young people what are their plans, because there is always surprises in life... Something like that. Which ironically so not me... Hehehe... Paris Je T'aime This is a special one! It contains I don't know how many stories in one movie. Probably 20 love stories surrounding the romantic city of Paris, all of different directors. Love for the partner, love for parents, love for children, love for Paris... I won't say I love all of them, but seriously there were some stories that really touched me, amazingly through only about 10 minutes! Of course, most of the stories are acted by some French actors whom you don't know, but there are also some who are familiar to you! Like the cute Elijah Wood (which the story he was in was the one that I don't like the most :p) and Natalie Portman! It's really not bad if you want an alternative kinda film.
Seriously, it's just SO not me to be talking about politics. A day before the voting day my colleagues were actually making fun of me because I can't tell them which party is Lim Kit Siang from! They said he should actually kill himself because of that! Alright, come one, I know he is from the opposition and the party with a rocket on it, I just don't bloody know the party is called 'DAP'! It would be stupidier if I can answer them rocket without knowing what is the name! I admit I know almost zero about politics and well, I'm not even registered yet... And I regretted it so much just because damn, what an exciting and interesting election our country had just gone through! Look, just two days before the voting day, I met an old friend and she was voting for the first time. We all agreed that we should just vote for the oppositions because we all knew that BN is going to win, so let's just make the margin smaller. And then I thought, if everybody has that kinda thinking, then BN is going to be so in a deep shit! And then it actually happened! I was in the office the whole day and the atmosphere was so bloody exciting that I actually stayed back till 10-ish at night just to feel the 'heat' of the entire thing! The result was really a shocker to many! Of course the general desk people were very busy but that doesn't mean the sports desk were damn free, okay? We have all these assignments of calling up and sms-ing friends and family to updates on the latest result, wah, bloody busy man...Full house in the office, and the time was 10.15pm... So the outcome is: OPPOSITION PARTIES TOOK FIVE STATES!!! And I would like to highlight some people or some stuffs of the whole thing... THE ONES THAT MY COLLEAGUES WERE HAPPY THAT THEY LOST... Uncle Samy Vellu and M. Kayveas. Needless to say, they are Indians. Oooops... Am I not supposed to reveal this? Okay, everybody knows why people hate them, okay? Even for Ducum who had never really use the tol said she is glad that Uncle Samy lost. As for Uncle Kayveas, I don't really have any idea about the whole thing although he was competing in my hometown. Let say he's just unlikeable...Bye Uncle Samy, don't forget your hair! THE ONE THAT I'M SO FUCKING HAPPY THAT HE LOST... Datuk Zainuddin Maidin (Datuk Zam). Look, to be very very honest, I didn't know this fellar until the Bersih thingy and the interview he had on Al-Jazeera. The day when I saw the interview on TV, which was played again and again and again on that day, I wanted to be like Simon Cowell, saying:"It was horrendous! Seriously, it was awful! The broken English and brainless comments were such a shame to all Malaysians!"And I didn't know that he had also commented that bloggers are stupid until I saw this brilliant post by Kenny Sia recently. Check it out man, you'll love it! I mean, fuck you! We bloggers are not stupid!!! And by the way, I was so called 'under' him once because I was in RTM for 3 months! Good thing is he won't be there anymore! Kakakakaka... Perhaps RTM can now play porno every night to prevent rape cases in Malaysia!THE ADS THAT MADE ME LAUGHED LIKE CRAZY... To see only BN's ads on TV were so boring. I love it when I was in Australia and all parties can stab each other openly on their TV ads! It was so cool! But out of some boring stuffs, there were actually some interesting ones this time around! And this one was the one that made me laughed SOOOOOO LOUD!
HUGE improvement for the government in being creative in theirs ads! Hahahahaha... And this radio ad is funny...
THE ONE THING THAT I'M AMAZED AT... Politicians nowadays have blogs! Don't play play! I'm serious, especially the DAP people, they all have their own blogs, including Uncle Lim whom I shall now remember which party is he from for the rest of my life! I didn't go through all, but I found Teresa Kok's one very interesting, she even calls herself 'Sassy MP'! What more is that, a controversial blogger namely Jeff Ooi actually won during the election(lazy to find out where was he competing lar)! Yam Seng to all bloggers! Kenny Sia, do you wanna try in Kuching next election? Hehehehe...THE HEAD-TURNING ONES... Victor Gu and Hannah Yeoh (plainly my personal picks). I mean, to say someone's good-looking is very subjective. But there isn't any hesitations if you want me to pick the guy candidate that I like the most. It has to be Victor Gu, who was contesting for the first time in Damansara under BN. He was my idol back when the days he started hosting the Chinese version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. He is so much more better than Jallaluddin Hassan... Jallaluddin: Adakah ini jawapan muktamad? Shirlexia: Yea, muktamad, awak memang tak se-handsome Victor. And He just has this naive look that I couldn't believe he got into politics when I saw him in a magazine talking about it! Plus, he speaks well, done nothing bad, a role model to many... Unfortunately, HE LOST. I actually think our beloved PM's son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin is quite cute, but no doubt, he has a face that you kinda just wanna punch on. He's really soooooo not likeable, and rumours are he's xxx (No, no, I didn't say anything). I saw Hannah Yeoh's poster near my house one day and I was like, wow, this girl is PRETTY! Seriously, she is HOT! How can guys not vote for her? And yes, she won in Subang Jaya. Coming close in second place would be Nurul Izzah Anwar. Congratulations to her for a historical win over Sharizat at Pantai, where ironically the government TV/radio station, RTM is located at.Whatever it is, I'm very glad that Malaysians had 'grown up'. Seriously, when the result showed that the oppositions were winning, I was scared that the 513 would happen again! My mom actually told me on the phone that she had forgotten to ask us to buy some extra food to be kept at home just in case of any curfew. But deep inside, I knew it wouldn't really happen because people are more ermm... Open-minded I think. I mean, even Malays themselves voted for the oppositions, so I never really thought the 513 incident will repeat. But I found the aftermath of the so called 'Tsunami' in Malaysian politics is that people are scared. People are scared that things would change under a new government! In my desk, the football writer is worry that the new state governments may not fund their state football team, or worst, any sports in the state. Many people, including me are scared that PAS would make tax-free liquor disappear in Langkawi. I mean, how sad is that??? In Perak where my hometown is, people don't want a PAS leader to be their MB. I mean I'm cool about it if there is no choice that they have to elect a Malay to take the post, just make sure that he does not close Karaoke Centres in Taiping and wants us to cover ourselves up with tudung and stuffs! Okay? We are still under DAP, not PAS! So, the BIG question here is, are we actually ready for such a change?Next time, vote for me lar, I give you lots of chicken wings and corn!!! P/S: You may or may not see this. But I've noticed it way before the election. The three alphabet 'ABU' and I was wondering, what the hell is that? I don't think the Graffitti people would like to call themselves Abu? And then I found out later...
"~Pardon Sir, My Dearly~ As Sweet as it is, when words released. A gentleman's please, for my pardon; awkwardly.
My Lady, She is, as gentle, She seems, Some reason it leads, for Her temper unleashed.
Roses and chocolate, an ingredient for "Me" Lady, May She's as sweet, as elegant She keeps.
Pardon Your Sir, tear's shed, has mercy, Smile for me My Lady, Pardon Sir, Dearly. xxx~
Oh... How romantic is that? Or are you feeling like all your hair are standing now, just like me? Yes, if you followed my previous posts, you know this fellar said he is going to give me roses and chocolate, plus Hagen Dass ice-cream. So I got home one night to find three items in front of my room. Three Ferrero Rocher (which is not show in the photo because Ducum and I ate them up straight away), ONE rose and a red colour thingy with a specially written poem, as above. And I was screaming in horror reading that!!! This is freaky!!! Okay, let me first confirmed with you that he is DEFINITELY not courting me. He don't know why is just a guy who is like THAT. I mean I don't know how to explain THAT actually. Overly sweet, overly nice? And sometimes I'm confused whether its real or fake. All I know is, I'm damn freaked out and I REALLY REALLY gotta tell you guys out there, that... Even if you are courting a girl, PLEASE DO NOT USE SUCH WAY!!! I'M SOOOO FUCKING SERIOUS, OKAY? The girl will really run far far away reading that poem! What more is that, I'm only a tenant of the house? Come on, nobody wants a poem like this nowadays, nobody wants you to get the moon down for her now!!! Can he just do something more realistic? Can he just instead fix the internet line at home which is terrible? Can he just fix my room's air-con which could not be adjust? Or can he just cut down my rental just because of the internet and air-con problem? My god, this is all you need to do as a landlord. Not to give rose and chocolate and poem that sounds like you're so desperate for a bloody give impression. Oh, by the way, my dearest landlord, I thought you promised 'ROSES' and ice-cream? But it seems like I only got ROSE and I didn't get any ice-cream, which I was so looking forward to. Damn, you are still the same old you, 讲就天下无敌,做就有心无力! Wanna know more about my lovely landlord? Part 1 Part 2
To those who know me, I really need your opinions! The school that I went for the hosting class had offered me a half scholarship to continue the advanced course. The half means now I have to pay RM 1250. Now, judging from the money I have, that amount of money would take away probably half of what I have (bloody bad in saving money). Every month I have to pay my room's rental, my lappy's installment, my gym fees and money for my parents. And also most of you know that I do have my own plans which seems like money is the main concern. Seriously, I'm not supposed to be spending any more money. But, I'm about 70% hopeful of attending the course. Although it wouldn't assure you a place in the industry, at least they give me chances to learn, and whenever they have auditions or any special events, they will offer you to go for it first! So what I'm seeing are the chances they would be able to give me. I mean, I can afford the money, but it would means cutting down a lot on my savings, and making it harder to work on my other plans!!! Gosh, I really don't know how to decide! For those who know me, please, vote at the right hand side of my blog and/or leave comment here to tell me about your opinion! Thanks a lot, guys!
An SMS I got two nights ago... "Sweet Heart, i'm sorry if my policy sent u off mad... A gentleman's apologies might comes in place along with roses and chocolates. May my lady with fine generosity, as to pardon me.. Sweet Dreams Princess.. " Nop, that sweet SMS isn't from my boyfriend, or anybody who is 'chasing' me. It was from my landlord, the one that I've talked about in my previous blog. I told him about my dissatisfi-ness about the 10 bucks rules he had implanted the other night when he came. I mean, thank god I actually did tell him. I can't believe I can be so daring when I wanted to be bitchy~! He of course explained that it was stated in a contract that he signed with the owner, late payment means fine as well. And he said he would pay the rental even if he didn't get them on time from us, and that he put the new policy just to make sure people would pay on time, and he would surely won't get the 10 bucks from me... And blah blah blah... Nevermind all the stuffs he said to explain to me the whole thing. I understand what he meant and I was all ok with it since he said he won't take the 10 bucks from me. But then he was soooo worry that he rubbed my foot with his purse saying:"Don't like that lar, don't be mad lar..." It was soooo bloody geli. And then he said he will buy me Hagen Dass ice-cream! And then came that SMS. To those who didn't know this guy would surely think that he must be in love with me. But nah, he does that most of the time to everybody. So I'm used to it now that I think it is a bit too much! If he thinks all girls will think this is sweet and would take it, then he is so fucking wrong! I've also heard of Ducum saying it was him who taught his friend how to get this girl that he likes. But I can surely tell him (or them), those things really won't work! Girls these days are not so naive or so easy to be persuaded. My god, those are so fake! The worst part is, this guy is a “讲就天下无敌,做就有心无力”guy. He said he is going to move the router higher so that I can get a better connection upstairs, he said he would asked someone to come fix my air-con which its temprature can't be adjust, but until now, nothing is done! So last night he came I asked him where are the roses, chocolates and ice-cream and he said they are coming today! So... Let's see lar! Seriously guys, these kinda sweet words really won't work anymore! Give up lar please!
I received an sms today, the content are as below... "Fellow tenants, plz do be notify to whoever received this sms. U r being charged towards an admin fee for late rental submission of RM10 per-day, starting today; as stated on our Early Notice of Rental Due. Do be advice that the admission fee of RM10 per-day will increase in a daily basis for those who fail to admit their rental on time. Be pleased if u may bank-in the admin fee together with rental or it will be deduct among ur deposit. Thank You. " My mood for the rest of the day was ruined just because of this sms, which sounded 'quite polite'. First of all, the so-called 'Early Notice of Rental Due' was a piece of paper pasted in the house few days back, which I didn't really read. And it is not that I don't have the money to pay the rental, I just totally forgot that I haven't pay. I mean it is only fucking 4th day of the month! Don't you think it is a bit too early to be a due date? And what? You think you're an Ah-Long ar? Charging extra money per-day when it's overdue? Even the rental alone is expensive enough and you have to be please that I'm renting, okay? The very main point here is, if he is being sooooo bloody culculative, then let's calculate this... Last month when I came back from my CNY break, the internet at home was down, and I think it took him about 1 week time to fix it. Ducum and I had spent so much money at Starbucks and cyber cafe to go on-line. I did jokingly told him about claiming the money from him, but he just ignored it with a few laughs like this:"Hehehehe..." And then now he is charging me 10 bucks for this??? FUCK YOU MAN, FUCK YOU!!! I'm not posting this here just to back-stab him or what. I'm sooooo going to tell him on his face about it when I see him the next time. You see, this guy, who is only my age(he's just taking care of the business for his dad), has been quite nice to us. Calling Ducum and I 'dear' or 'sweetheart' on sms-es, come to my sister's rescue when she was sick and brought her to the clinic, been very concern about us all the time. But Chinese business men I tell ya can be so realistic when it comes to money. Aaaarrrhhhh... So fucking pissed off!!!
